Sell shards from vendors

what market are you on?On mine the market has nothing but names selling 3k per stack with max sales slots used and the first 200 post are all rmt names what human can farm 20 stacks of 3k in one day without botting or cheating please let me know that trick
Every other game that req something special for crafting is only sold at vendors, the whole shard system for crafting is stupid overall it just causes less crafting and motivates crafters to buy gil so they can level it.

Is that supposed to be an argument? There's plenty of recipes in the game who use npc items, even that "something special" mats you mention, like potash, coke etc, and they are obtainable only by npc.
By the way you talk about, seems like shards are the only item requested for a craft, while in reality are just a material common to every craft. But let's say they remove shards altogether: do you think rmt would be affected?
Don't you think they'll just laugh and bot something else, like button mushrooms for the common food buttons in a blanket? Silver sharks for mega-potion of str? Sandworm tooths for mega-potion of int?
Understand this: rmt are not flooding shards because it's less work. They bot, so they don't care about how much work of time they need to sell things. They sell shards only because they are the more convenient item to sell, not because they lack alternatives.
