Learning the job comes from playing, regardless if you're in a group doing dungeons, fates, or leves. Your opinion doesn't make sense.Unfortunately they removed the enemies that were over level 50 that 1.0 used to have, not sure why, but yeah. So, that doesn't mean you can't form a pt and go kill stuff for exp, there are plenty of enemies in the open world to kill for levels. There are plenty of ways to get exp in this game, people are so obsessed with the easy/fast ways to do everything though its irritating. There are combat leves, FATEs, quests, dungeons and even just going out and killing crap.
Not to mention leveling jobs purely on quests doesn't really give you the experience for learning to play a job well. Honestly I think people should level off dungeons and leves primarily, SE made a huge mistake giving quests such large exp rewards and making FATEs faster exp than leves and dungeons.

Except you stated exactly what I said. So you agree.
I was saying that you learn by doing and most of the side quests and the majority of story quests are just simple fetch quests or "go talk to this person" quests. In other words you get exp for basically doing nothing. Dungeons and Leves are the best ways to learn your class, and the game mechanics. Learning those things after you reach 50 doesn't make sense.
I don't know bout that. I had a lot of quests telling me to kill stuff. More of those than the delivery. Considering over half of the delivery quests involved you having to had killed something first.majority of story quests are just simple fetch quests or "go talk to this person" quests. In other words you get exp for basically doing nothing. Dungeons and Leves are the best ways to learn your class, and the game mechanics. Learning those things after you reach 50 doesn't make sense.

I don't understand how you guys find difficulty leveling. I'm getting over 300k xp/hr without any xp buffs in coerthas, and that's just from straight questing / hitting the svara fate every time it's up. I'm still about a level and a half ahead of the quests i'm doing, and that's with skipping the entirety of eastern thanalan/shroud sidequests early on.
You have to really hate fates to purposely avoid them while you're questing. Most of them are purposely placed in areas that involve side quests too.
I don't know how you complain about grinding in a game that you can hit cap in in 2 days played.

The real failure of the current system rears its ugly head when you decide to level an additional job. When you get to that point you may come back here with a different viewpoint.

Really? Because I can get over 300k xp an hour off fates alone. I've tried and done it numerous times since I hit coearthas. That's still nearly one level every hour even from 40-50. The only mmo I've ever played that has come close to this curve with as much accessibility is DCUO which exceeds it exponentially.
Arguing about the fact that it's "grindy" is rather pointless, because all mmo's are inherently grindy by nature due to overwhelmingly static repetitive gameplay.
Would you honestly rather level an additional job in 5 days played which is pretty much the industry norm, just doing the same shit that you already did on your main?
