If they are really goin to do this... they need such a shit load of more great content rolling in non-stop....
since if not... there really is nothing to do... why don't the make a cash shop then?
you buy your lvl 50 job, get awesome gear and log off after looking at it for a bit...

That would at least increase the cash flow for a short time... but if they do it this way... well it looks as if they don't wanna make money or they wanna kill that game... another proof that they don't give a shit about the forum and the good posts that there are. I think they just created the forum so we think they are acutally listening... its a joke. And if they goin on like this i really wish the worst for this company. They just don't deserve anyone's money anymore... *sigh*

take it as a complete rumor, but this chinese website posted a piece of news slating the PS3 version of FFXIV and the start of charging for the PC version on August the 14th. No idea of what their source is though

and Suz wth are u smoking? dont lock jobs to classes?????? ya sure lets have Archer/paladins cus that just sounds so cool ha.... The class system is so uttlerly wishy washy right now its a turn off for any sane person that had hopes for this game. The buff actions and healing actions shouldnt be so freely usable by every single class. why even distinguish between classes at all when every single class can use 98% of the abilities/magic available even it its weaker on some classes. Cant wait till the new system is implemented and the morons are weeded out that cant think for themselves or use their eggplant brain for teamwork.

Why even have levels to begin with then eh?
Why not just let us all start off at max level. Oh and why stop there? Give us the best gear while you're at it too and lets have those pesky enemies not kill us, reviving is such a chore after all. Travel too. Let's just drop the whole points system and let us teleport anywhere we want any time we want.

Extremes aside. It would at least give us something to do, and at this point there's really no endgame so why let us get max level so easily?

Yeah, I sorta agree. Ranking up a job to R50 would at least give us something more to do.

It's the only way it makes sense though. If a job really is just a specialized way to play classes, having to rank it up again would be exactly the same as ranking up as a R50 Gladiator but with 1 or 2 more skills. If it's just a specialized way to play the class in a party then it would make sense that all it does it give you more skills in turn for less...

Also, job quests will probably be at R30 or lower, since there's R30 dungeons and all.

Oh fantastic now I have even less to aspire for. Making things easier for everyone doesn't make them more entertaining or engaging.

I need more goals SE. Goals that will take time and effort to achieve with good payoff.
I know you can do it, you just need to show me.

WTF. Jobs arent something to ASPIRE to, they are just a method of play. It's a way for you to PLAY a ROLE in a PARTY while you are actually DOING some CONTENT.

It's not another stupid, unfulfilling grind they are putting in place just so you can feel a FALSE SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT because you have MORE PATIENCE than someone else.

Personally, like for me personally, there is nothing that would make me any angrier with this idea than if they made it another grind.

But I guess there's a reason FFXIV still has fans - some people just have OCD and need to grind. It's like in their DNA or something. LOL.
