OMDG RED!! I LOVE YOU Developers for this!!!
Earlier I saw someone say that I90 piece and a hoplite piece to replace the head/chest or legs/feet DL is a loss. This is false, an I90 body + hoplite head or I90 legs + hoplite feet etc. Is actually a GAIN in stats. Just to clear that up.
Yes, that's one way to respond. I think most of us just bought it anyways since the stats are good. However, some of us wish to have a nice looking character. It's all subjective.
Your reaction gets old and isn't relevant since, like I already mentioned, people deal with it they moment the buy it..

It's not a price knock up you just have to wait longer and get your slots filled in lager chunks than everyone else. You pay the same amount of philosophy to purchase and entire set of dark light as everyone else, there's not increase for tanks.
I figured out where they got their design idea's from

It's uncanny![]()
I agree with OP. It's kinda ugly and doesn't have any other variations of design. It's essentially "TANK gear", so it's like climbing into a tank to serve that function... the bottom is legs+feet and the top is body+head(w/o the option of making the head invisible?). Needs some work for real, i really avoid this gear even if I was returning to my pld or war.
I haven't done the math(god I hate it) but does the stats really mean better if you divided by 4 than from other individual gear?
You can just sense the DEVs designing a body piece that says," climb in, but you can't equip head, hands, legs or feet".
Well now i know where they got the bird-looking head piece from. It's original medieval armor.

1.) in 1.0 you had Heavy Darklight Armor and the Heavy Darksteel for pieces that covered 2 slots (head and body) (pants and feet). The Heavy Flanchard actually wasn't that good stats wise, while the Body piece had +45 enmity which was great. Not to mention how rare of a drop it was so when you got it, everyone wanted to see.Am I the only one upset with the tank darklight armor in every way?
1. They did very little to differentiate it from the armor you get while leveling up; "just strap on two blades to the back of the head and were good right?"
2. It looks bad, really bad. They took the worse looking armor in the game and somehow made it look even worse! (Not that hard though to be honest.)
3. It costs too dam much because they are sold in chest/head combo and leg/feet combo. Its a lot easier to buy a piece at 495 than to have to wait till you get 1320.
This in itself is unfair and should demand a re-design to the armor.
We need this changed.
2.) subjective but I'm a Lalafell and we make everything look good.
3.) It may cost a lot but people are already spamming AK/WP for myths so they go ahead and get it anyways lol.

If it did not matter, then why bother to make your comment? The player base will use what ever terminology it wants (correctly or incorrectly). If the developers call the mythology armor +1, then it is technically +1 and everyone calling it AF2 is incorrect. There wouldn't even be a debate had the vendors simply called it "Draken Armor +1" like it renames the Gae Bolg to Gae Bolg +1.Do you know that to apply the +1 term, it has to be augmented in a way like Relics. The AF you get from the quest is not augmented to become a +1 when you aquire the ToM one, its a totaly different armor set.
So at this point it does not really matter, no one is right & this argument could go forever.
Btw, ty to the person who submited the link.

Error 3102 Survivor
try it with the I90 head and hoplite body or i90 boots and hoplite pants. If its a gain its very very small, plus, i never even got half the hoplite parts because i had HDL already and would pass it to people who needed it, so my alternative was quad melded militia +1 pants with allagan boots, and i def took a loss there. I had to use the points i saved for bravura +1 on warrior's pants because i couldnt use the boots otherwise. I ran AK 20 more times and did not get hoplite pants.
