I expect new MMOs to be a competitor to current ones. Should we have to wait years for FFXIV be comparable to current MMOs? I feel like all new MMOs should take all amenities from current MMOs before being released. Don't you agree?

No, because they're different games. I wouldn't expect any MMO to launch with 4+ full story campaigns, dozens of raids/dungeons and 20+ classes because that's an unreasonable expectation. If a game is a direct sequel then maybe I could see having that kind of expectation but that's rarely ever the case, especially with MMOs. Content takes time to create and this game is not building directly on top of another. It is its own new game with its own classes, world and content separate from all other games.

For a P2P game, it sure is lacking.
Kinda feels like a step backwards. New game, rebuilt game or not.
As it stands, it is not P2P worthy, it's only because it's called Final Fantasy why we have to pay.
We have more problems than a F2P game. I expected y'know...quality gameplay and services.
Feels like I'm dealing with Maple Story hacking RMT's and Nexon support.
End-game is not fun in this game. I quit with the whole WP runs so I craft.
I told my friends to wait a few patches if they wanna give this game a go, not worth it now.

Thing is there are hundreds of mmos out now days most f2p . It would not be that hard to get some of that talent to help out on a mmo. Like some the newer mmos now are now doing. Many game ideas have been trial and error for the last 10 years on mmos. Some work some do not , and there still room to improve the genre. No, because they're different games. That would be great. Unfortunately people who fund mmos dont want to continue funding an mmo for an additional 10 years in the hopes that they will recoup their money let alone make a profit. Unless you think they could somehow bypass the time and effort that goes into making 10 years worth of content which I would have to say... ok magic man, beam me up~
