Hello,

I’d like to share another daily dose of UI comments from Hiroshi Minagawa.

One way of addressing this would be to make “say” a standard that is included in the battle tab. However, this kind of distorts the policy for the application of each tab, so we are considering the below to deal with this. (This will be addressed after patch 2.2.)

  • We are looking into the below additions when you receive a new message in a tab that is not currently displayed:
    1. To make it easier to know you received a new message, make the hidden chat log tab flash. It will become much easier to realize someone sent a message.
    2. A setting so when there is a new chat message in a hidden tab, that tab is automatically switched to.
This directly addresses the issues. However, there is the negative that it only functions when the setting is turned on.

*The schedule for the above has not actually been formed yet and it has not been checked by the programmer, so there is a possibility that the specifications change.

I’d like to be able to execute the macros I have assigned to the cross hotbar with the keyboard as well while using the gamepad for the PC version.
For the regular horizontal and vertical hotbars it’s possible to assign the keys you like to control them via the keybind settings; however, for the cross hotbar it is not currently possible to assign keyboard controls. When it comes to the PC version, we’d like you to assign actions you’d like to use with the keyboard to the regular hotbars and use them.

If we do not display the text in the upper-left of action icons for what shortcut has been set, it’s possible to increase the settings to support cross hotbar key binds. If there are a lot of requests for executing these actions via keyboard without displaying the text for the shortcut, we will look into addressing this.

I’d like really a sort by condition feature for the repair UI.
Once the lead programmer has a spare moment we will address this.

I’d like special equipment slots for cosmetic type gear.
I believe that the vanity slots that we are planning for patch 2.2 will come close to addressing this request. We do not have any plans to make it so you can completely separate the setting of cosmetic gear and gear with stats.
*The difficulty is, as this would increase the amount of information transferred for each character, we'd see additional stress on the server.

Please add a setting so the cursor position is not remembered.
I believe this is about the behavior occurring for sub-commands. I apologize, but this is actually a bug and we’ll be addressing this in patch 2.1. Additionally, if it seems like there is a need to have cursor positions remembered, we will look into adding a setting to the configuration for after patch 2.2.
There was also a quick follow-up about the comment made on vanity slots.

This is correct. This will be a feature where you can wear one type of equipment and have it displayed as another.

The previous request asked to have separate equipment slots for cosmetic gear in addition to regular equipment slots. We will not be implementing a system exactly as originally requested, but a system that does fulfill the goal of displaying alternate equipment to what is worn.
Also, as previously mentioned there will be some restrictions as to what you combinations can be worn and displayed.

*Once the specific details for the vanity system have been finalized we will make an announcement. There is also the possibility that the official name changes.
