Am I forced to make a healer to enjoy this game?

Don't make a healer unless you can handle people complaining that everything is your fault when the party wipes. Actually tanks get parties ALOT faster than healers do still. My warrior gets a DF party practically always immediately while my healer usually waits anywhere from 0 to 10 minutes.

I think it depends on your server...as a CNJ that dungeon grinds over FATE grinding, I've never waited longer than "immediately"

I think Tanks are slightly more rare on my server, at least the lower levels.

I have to admit healing in FFXIV is... boring to be honest, I tried stance dancing to make it more active but the stance change is awkward from Heal to DPS, the timer messes you up and if the Tank takes a big hit and needs a heal NOW... eeek, am I in heal stance, nooo dps oh crap I hit it twice oh bugger, Tank down because I wanted to get a slightly stronger Aero on the target.
Healing in Tera as a Mystic was active, tiring even ..short ranges, active targeting, mob AI changing aggro suddenly... was fun, the game got boring quickly especially leveling up a Mystic past 35... when you were getting 3 - 5 levels an hour suddenly go to taking an hour and having half a exp bar, yawn... plus I am not a fan of micro transactions or having cash gated storage options, gimped transformation chances unless you buy x item.

It's all about knowing when it's safe to do so. In the earlier CNJ levels, you'll be pretty busy just spamming cures to keep the tank up, most times. Later on, you can Divine Seal->Regen->Cleric Stance->Aero->Stone II spam, if you're AoEing you can just Holy after changing your stance. Sometimes you'll have to break out of stance early and go back to healing, but once you get used to it, healing becomes much more interactive and you'll definitely be able to speed kills up.

Also, as far as earlier levels go, if your tank is well-geared and you're not fighting a boss OR getting overwhelmed by mobs (small pulls or use of repose/sleep), feel free to Cleric Stance and help kill mobs, and you can even toss some cures while it's active. Just gauge the rate that the tank's health is dropping and be ready to swap at a moment's notice. Your Stone spells pack a decent punch, may as well use them.

Find a healer. Be like "WHATS UP" and become friends and go to dungeons together.

I just started this, how the heck are summoners not able to queue in as healers?

The attributes of a smn goes towards int in which bio, miasma, etc are stong, Healers we know focus on the att mind. The healing smn's (acn) have are typically not as strong, More for use towards yourself, sometimes towards pet or if your actual heal gets in a bind.

Still known as dps and that why they wont que as healers

I'm making a LS and potential FC on Leviathan named 'Benevolence' for this very purpose - helping new players to come together and make parties to clear low level content while hopefully getting a few 'helpful vets' to help run them, as well. Just made the LS last night so hope anyone that needs friends to do the low level story dungeons gives it a look. I made this LS because I felt bad for how long some people have to wait just to progress their story, since everyone at 50 only really needs to run them all once and often never go back ^^

I'm on diablos and have considered starting my own FC for the reason to help others and have fun. I 1st want to take my fighting classes and jobs all to lvl 50. In which I have time to help my lower lvl members. Not to many fc's out their help very well.

So if anyone is on the diablos server my user name is Faye Dilly. I'm on a lot and willing to help as well

I think doing a LS for this purpose is a great idea, my FC is always willing to help our lower level members but there's a lot of people out there that doesn't have the same luck with theirs.
