I liked 12 but really only because it was in Ivalice and to top that off i liked everyone besides the protagonist a lot more than the protagonist.
edit: I laughed when more North American players voted that the final fantasy name was their favorite thing about the game than Japanese players did.

That game made me feel like a total vegetable because I could just turn off all brain activity when playing it. When people tell me they like it or that it sold well in North America I just say nothing and quietly judge people. =)
This is probably why. I remember when it was just Squaresoft, All of the games were real fun. Things seem to be downhill with that -Enix tagged onto it. I never really liked Enix Software in the past either.... go figure
