I liked 12 but really only because it was in Ivalice and to top that off i liked everyone besides the protagonist a lot more than the protagonist.

edit: I laughed when more North American players voted that the final fantasy name was their favorite thing about the game than Japanese players did.

Yes for a series that has let you have an airship so you can explore the world since title 1, XIII's map design was a 24 year step backwards.

ROFL! But don't diss Zidane, he was actually interesting, sadly I can't say the same for Cloud, Squall, and pretty much any protagonist since 9.

But yeah, characters have been flat out dull in FFs lately, it feels more like an interactive anime that goes on too long and characters don't change any since the start (I'm looking at you Naruto/Bleach).
