OP neglects that of the 2 melee 'sets' (striking and maiming), only 1 can be needed by drg and the other by Mnk. SE DID separate the sets. Same with hero/DL.
Accessories equiped by any job doesnt change the fact that they are coded for specific jobs with the need/greed system and stats are aimed at one. A brd can greed the mnk ring with the drg.

OP is kind of right though. The 4 item chest distribution off T1 probably makes melee more easier to gear especially if you are a new coil group. If you take a week or two killing new bosses as you progress it adds up.

Well mostly dragoon, the coil spreadsheet should explain it more.
