First people want me to DPS with all my dots or they'll get mad(MORE DPS HEALER!), now people don't want me to DPS with all my dots or they'll get mad. Sigh.

Look, if you have specific wants during PuGs, say something at the start of the dungeon. Your team may or may not do as you ask, and at that point you can decide to deal with their choice or leave. Don't expect people to know exactly how you like to do things, then have a freak out when they don't. Not to say you would freak out... but some people do.

Lol you dont want to zoom out? Then you deserve to die. Just stick to Wanderers Palace . You shouldnt even need to see the demon wall pattern at this point anyway. Anyonr casting shadowflare is doing the right thing. Youre the wrong one here haha.

Yeah yeah. You want to just hate? Take a number and get in line, buddy.

I only die on Demon Wall if our healer bites the dust on the first repel, for whatever reason, so the only person who "deserves to die" around here is people such as yourself since you are only seeing the game from your own point of view. If they want to keep casting Shadow Flare, that's fine. They just better not bitch at me for having to heal me because I didn't dodge something that was so easy.

If you guys really want to go that route and be the tough guys, gang up on me and pick on me for not being able to see this properly (despite having 20/20 vision), then you go right ahead. It just shows everyone else how immature you're being.

Try putting the shoe on the other foot for a change before you go around criticizing people.

You don't have to stand right next to the wall to hit it as melee. Next to the red ring is fine and gives you plenty of room to see. I also cast shadow flare on demon wall are you standing in the flare? and do you play in 1st person?

I'm generally standing right next to its right arm, about two characters' distance away from the edge, whenever I fight it. So, my field of vision is pretty much limited due to the wall looking so huge, I can barely see a fraction of the ooze when it appears on the floor (about a 1/4th of it, I'd say), which is why whenever Shadow Flare is used, I'm unable to see it continue beyond Shadow Flare since the only part of the ooze I can see is actually within the barrier.

I understand zooming out would solve my problems, but I've grown accustomed to fighting with the same camera throughout the whole game, ya know? I've never had to zoom out during fights and I've been in Bahamut's Coil like this, so it's kind of frustrating to hear people telling me that I don't know what I'm doing just because I am unable to see this properly during the fight or don't wish to zoom out my camera. I'm sure if I was playing on PC and just had to scroll to zoom out or whatever, I would have probably been using that feature like second nature at this point, but it's difficult enough as it is to keep up with my hotbars by using button binding (e.g. pushing R1+O at the same time as opposed to simply pushing R1 to cycle to hotbar 2).

What I don't understand is why you don't want to learn how to zoom out and play at all. Ever since I learned how to zoom out, I made sure to do it for all boss battles so that I could grow accustomed to it. Zooming out actually allows me to become a much better player because I can watch and see what's happening on the rest of field. Yes I'm a healer so it's part of my job to be watching out for the rest of the party. Zooming out also helps me dodge incoming AoEs MUCH better though, which is something that all players should be aspiring to do. You're being very narrow minded by saying that you have ONE play style and refuse to try out others. :/

Yeah pretty much. I didn't think so at first, but I guess that's what makes a successful troll good at what they do. At this point though, there's no way for them to be even remotely serious.

If even one SCH stops casting Shadowflare on wall because of this thread you've done the entire game a disservice

And you're being just as narrow-minded by believing your way of playing is the only way to play. As I said before, I've never had to zoom out in fights before (yes, including Titan HM). I can dodge and see the AOEs fine, but it's just Shadow Flare combined with the color of this ooze makes it difficult to see.

I don't understand what's so difficult to comprehend about that. Even as a healer (Scholar), I've also never had to zoom out, yet I've kept parties alive more often than having them die on me. When did we become such a judgmental people as a community, quick to second guess someone's abilities as a player just because they have difficulty with something that you don't? Some people breezed right through Titan HM while others struggled with it until they were finally able to do it, so Group A is telling Group B that they suck and need to learn how to play the game, yet... I'd be willing to bet that Group B was able to do something else that Group A struggled with and could hang it over their heads as well.

It saddens me that so many players are so quick to jump a player like a pack of wild wolves. Just take a look at most of these replies here. Not once did I see anything that actually supported me in any way whatsoever.

It was mostly just criticism and/or telling me to change the way I play. Yes, I understand how hypocritical that must sound since I'm asking for a Scholar to change the way they play, but is my vision more important than whatever DPS they are getting from Shadow Flare? I'd like to think so.

Regardless, I'm just going to stop coming back to this thread since plenty of people want to put me on public display and tear me limb from limb. Go find another scapegoat for your cause, elitists. I'm done here.

    EDIT:

Yep. I'm all about just coming on here to waste your time as well as my own. Thanks for taking my post with a grain of salt.

*sigh* This is what I'm talking about. Open your eyes, people. You're too quick to judge people.

You've basically slapped a label on me in such a short period of time, it's quite amazing and sad at the same time.

    A. I'm a terrible player
    B. I'm a troll

That's right. I mean, it's not as if I could seriously have a problem here or anything. No no, that would actually make sense. People these days... I swear.

On that note, NOW I'm done.

hahaha but I dont die on demon wall because my party wants to do their jobs you do! I also play a monk on a ps3 controller, so I deal with the melee position and zooming out just fine. You just dont want to play properly
