    XIV:ARR what SE could change to make the XI Playerbase more Happy

    Before i start, this is a Thread about things i would change in XIV:ARR to make it feel more XI like, i dont say it has to be XI-HD but it should more unique and not a WoW-Clone.
    All I am writing is my opinion and i am up for more Ideas if you have some.

    It has nothing to do with Casual or Hardcore Players at all, every Point i am mention is just to keep us more busy and entertained.

    If you are already a XI-Playerbase Hater, stop right here and leave this Thread.

    Battlesystem:
    .) Back to the 1.2x Battlesystem, Building up TP with Auto-Attack, using Combos or Weapon Skills with your TP.
    .) Let us have Gearswitch System like XI
    .) Give us more extra stats like: Haste, Store TP, Sometimes Hits Twice, sometimes Deals Double Damage, Additional Effect: Paralyze/Death/Silence/Slow, Enfeebling Magic, Dark Magic, Elemental Magic, Enhancing Magic, Healing Magic etc,........
    .) Limit Break for every one in the Party and a unique T3 LB for every Job to start a „Skill Chain“

    End/Content:
    .) Open World Content
    .) Gear which is worth to farm and not beeing useless after a half year
    .) Trigger Spawn HNMs to kill as a Alliance (optional: Scaling down or up by number of PT/Alliance Members)
    .) Dungeons "YES" but only as Party to Level UP and Endgame as big Event like Dynamis, Einherjar, Salvage, Limbus.
    .) Fate Events like Bahamut/Odin they working correct but with Rewards they making it worth to hunt em (endgame equip)
    .) Add Unique Abilitys to the Relic Weapons, and put in some more Gil sink/Farm[Rare/Exe] parts that let you work alot longer on that weapon.

    Jobs & Others:
    .) Delete the Ilevel System
    .) More Weapon Choices
    .) Supporter Roles like the BRD we had in XI (i heard some PPL Enjoyed this class in XI)


    Longer lasting Endgame Content
    Longer lasting and More Endgame Equip for one Class/Job
    Due Open World Content, No limitation on Members you can take with you = No Main Statics anymore the Whole LS/FC can do Events all day long (farming triggers etc)

    Telling us you want these things without considering some of the issues involved in adding this stuff isn't going to get much support.

    For example, things like haste will definitely benefit some classes greatly over others. You would need to draw it out, who is over benefiting, just getting the right amount and those classes who see no apparent differences with just that stat.

    Otherwise, wishlists...really are just wishlists.

    Since Haste would be a Part of TP Building System it would only benefit the Classes they using TP, Mage classes wont benefit from such things, but still can have "fast Cast" aka "Spell Speed" and it would only a Question of Balancing SE has to fix like in every other MMORPGs. While Spell Speed is still in use, there is no Need for Skill Speed anymore and would be replaced with that. [as example]

    I agree with most of your points, besides the 1.2x battle system, gearswitch, and no instanced dungeons. I loved XI but I couldn't handle another 'auto-attack' based battle system which is why I only lasted a week in 1.0. Gearswitch to me was always a silly concept. And removing dungeons from endgame is a step in the wrong direction. Removing options from endgame is a poor solution, we should instead have more options with his to spend our time.

    There was no auto-attack at the beginning of 1.0
    For each attack (WS and standard attack to build up TP), you needed to press a button.
    Auto-attack came later during summer 2011 I think

    I had this nicely written up response, but then deleted and figured it's just not worth my time to point out some of the flaws of the OP's suggestions. I'll just say I disagree with many of the suggestions the OP has suggested and leave it at that.

    While I liked XI a lot the changes you propose are exactly XI HD. No thanks. I would like to see some things XI had added to XIV to supplement the content but don't take away what is already in the game. XIV has a strong foundation, I think it will really shine by the time they add the first expansion.
