Stone Vigil is a bit of a jump in the damage output from trash. Back near launch when everyone was in questing whites (and I was still shaking out the healer/mmo cobwebs and getting a grasp on SCH) my first group wiped on the first trash pull, lol.

If you continue to have major issues, look at your gear and the tank's gear. If it's all whites/severely underleveled that may explain where some of the difficulty is coming from. If it makes you feel better the trash doesn't hit as hard in the next dungeon, heh.

The dragon aevis enemies have an instant move called lunge they often do around 5 seconds into a pull for some nasty burst (particularly when it's more than one of them) so be prepared for that. The Ice sprites just hurt in general.

If your tank isn't popping a CD at the start of a large trash pull it'll just make things harder as well. If they aren't dodging stuff that can be dodged (stands in the bad), you'll also have issues.

When the tank goes down to maybe 30%-45% I use Adloquium then I use Physick. I do this, because the shield the Adloquium puts up is enough to give me and Eos time to heal people back up. You shouldn't spam Adloquium just one will be fine in that percentage. Also try to pre-cast it before a pull so it can give you time to place Eos/Selene.

For the first part yes I agree and this is good advice.

Referring to your last statement. Lol no...cast eye for an eye first then after the tank gets aggro Adlo him or her. Pre casting will pull aggro ( assuming the tank is within a sec or two of engaging.)

Tell the tank to stop pulling more than he can handle.

Also don't micromanage your pet. I personally think its distracting. I let the pet heal on her own. She's grown up now. Let's me focus on healing and dpsing as a healer.

If you and your pet are spam healing the tank and he still dies, it's not your fault. If you have a BM in the group ask them to sleep.

I might also be a terrible scholar... Literally half of all of my WP runs we wipe on the first pull... why? It has nothing to do with my gear... or my knowledge of the job ... or the tank. It's because I am still standing still buffing , eating food, and whipping out my fairy before I realize the tank is already halfway to the next room.... Sometimes it's got nothing to do with gear... If you can't reach someone you can't reach someone.... maybe it's your fault for not being there but maybe they shouldn't have kept running without the healer.

I don´t get the problem. If you do all the stuff writen above it will take about exactly the time for them to wipe till you are ready. Cast protes a second time and everybody is ready to go.

Most groups I go with will typically wait until I finish Stoneskin casting on the party. I recommend starting with your fairy, eating food, Stoneskin, THEN protect. No tank in their right mind goes anywhere without protect so you force them to wait... unless they cast protect for you. Also of note, if you use Swiftcast then fairy, you can do that while running so you aren't too far behind.

Is there something that I'm missing? Healing for 450-ish with Physick isn't really working, obviously. I'm committed to sticking with the job, especially since it has the lowest numbers of any job on my server, but I'm not satisfied with mediocrity. So what am I missing about this class that makes it so powerful?

One thing to keep in mind is that it isn't always the healers fault. I'm not level 50 or a scholar for that matter but I too have years or healing experience and sometimes your tank just sucks. There are three possible reasons for this wipe.

1. The tank doesn't have tanking gear ideal for this encounter.
2. The tank isn't using his cooldowns.
3. The tank is failing at mechanics and standing in the void zones*

*If the floor turns red, purple, orange, magenta, turquoise, blue, lights on fire, starts to shake violently or things come out of the ground .... GTFO
