If you're only answer every time someone has an issue with this game is to quit, you'll be waiting for FFXIV 3.0 after this one becomes a ghost town again.

As long as their issues with the game are irreconcilable, then yes, your options are: 1. Deal with it 2. Quit
If you have a legitimate complaint and a proposed solution, by all means, post away. But complaining that you're going to quit because there is too much downtime for patches / maintenance cannot be helped. You can deal with it or you can leave. But be advised, crying to SE that you are going to quit because of ____ will fall on deaf ears. Your individual circumstance does not negate the experience of the majority, nor will it be catered to, unless your circumstance effects the experience of the majority.Throwing a fit and canceling your sub because of frequent off-peak maitencance in a newly released MMO just speaks for your maturity and experience with MMOs. And if it isn't your maturity that is the issue, then you're better off for learning that MMORPGs take months before the major bugs are ironed out. Perhaps you won't have to relive the horrors of frequent maintenance in your future endeavors.

We all want bugs to be fixed. We all want to play the game. But you can't have your cake and eat it too.

to me this feels like a targeted maint to reduce server stress on the night of a currency reset........
the sad thing is there's f2p games that would compensate players with in game items for having this much maint,yet we get nothing and we pay lol....

It is however in the ToS that SE may take servers down for any reason and for any amount of time for maint. We ALL agreed to this upon registration.

The reason they're deleting posts is because unlike the Japanese forums, the NA/EU forums feel the need to make 10 different threads on the same topic. It's just clutter.

Maintenance hasn't bothered me much. It needs to be done, I guess. I've just been getting on with Uni work during maintenance... probably a good thing.

Bugs should not be fixed as soon as they are seen, and what you bolded has no bearing on when we want issues resolved. Based on the fact that they don't take the servers down immediately to fix an issue, but schedule it for one to two days out, we already know they are okay with those issues being live for several days. Let those issues stay for another couple of days and do just one maintenance window a week like every other MMO (yes, even the new ones out side of real emergencies).

Bugs need to be dealt with immediately or must I remind the community of the D3 billion-gold dupe that destroyed the game instantly. If D3 let it go a few days... cough.....

The community needs to remember, the forums is a good place to read stuff on what is happening in the community but unless its officially stated or announced on what is what, people should not be making assumptions on what is fixed, what isn't being fixed and etc.

While we complain that SE puts maintenance up here and there, we forget that a lot of major MMO companies have a routine once a week maintenance to assure quality control. As this game is only a little over two months old now, it isn't surprising that it needs to go down once in a while to fix these bugs. You will appreciate it in the long run.

I actually find SE unusual in that they don't seem to drop the servers as soon as they get the relevant approval to do so for game breaking bugs or exploits. The whole argument about "oh they have to do it when there are the least amount of people on and they have staff" is completely irrelevant in cases like that and tells me that there hasn't been anything that SE considered game-breaking or exploity enough to do so. It also tells me that people that make those arguments haven't had to deal with servers on that scale.
