Am I the only one troubled by the Pet Hotbar?

First of all, over half the button on it I don't use or i rarely click.
The ones I use, its easier to use it on your normal hotbar by putting it there

Pet hotbar cannot be customized
Pet hotbar cannot be invisible (right click on layout does nothing)
Pet hotbar cannot go away (option in character config does not work...)

I hope we get a fix soon, because as a scholar / arcanist / summoner, i cannot imagine you not using your pet...

I made the bar smaller and sat it on top of my other ones. Keeps it tucked away nicely, but I only ever play with one hotbar on my screen anyway.

You are not the only one, and it's even worse for gamepad players, though at least it can be turned off for gamepad. I'd personally like to have pets' skills droppable on normal hotbars as an automatically changing icon instead of individual icons for each pet's skills in the actions & traits window ("Pet Action 1" instead of separate icons for "Gust," "Embrace," etc.) This would render the pet hotbar completely obsolete, though I'd keep it as an option... just as an extra hotbar that auto-hides when no pet is summoned rather than a pre-configured mess.

I don't use my pet hotbar at all and it is not visible. I would have been more likely to use it if it were customizable but I really find that it's kind of useless in general and turned it off. There is generally only a handful of abilities you would need on your bar for pets and they can all be added to other hotbars so I think that's why people don't care.

I'm not sure why your option to hide the bar in character config is not working but I can confirm that it works just fine for me.

The option to hide it is only for gamepad. If you play with mouse and keyboard you cannot hide it.

I try to find a good place to put it, but it doesn't look right

I have buffs / debuffs for myself above my hotbar, and i am used to looking at there i don't want to move that

I mean, at least if it was vertifcal, i can stick it at the side of something and pretend it doesn't exist lol

Well I admit that is retarded.. I use gamepad and mouse/keyboard together so that would explain why I was able to hide it.

You are not the only one! I am fairly OCD about how I set things up, and the pet hotbar just gets in my way. I made it as small as possible and tucked it out of the way, but I really, really want an option to have it just not exist
