Go back to Deve's Blog. They have posted Viera long time ago, but it is still not confirmed.

I hope you aren't referring to the April fool's joke, which has been the only mention of Viera on there.

Yoshi has stated about wanting to add some sort of dragon/lizard race. I'd really like to see playable goblins or SOMETHING with a less humanoid body type.
