I have a question.
Let's say I use my daily allowance and I get put into a primal battle where everyone is failing. People get frustrated and leave. If I leave the dungeon, does that mean I get no more chances at tomestones for the primal battle category?![]()
Because that would suck.
This will hopefully take FATE populations to beta phase 3 levels, just for all level ranges. Nothing was zerg rushed back then. FATEs were simply done when you saw one, not something you partied up for and made it a job.

Thats interesting...
Especially after reading:
The 300 Cap on Myth is really annoying as heck. Sure, I understand, they don't want people to deck themselves out on AF2 a few weeks into the game. But you know what, don't punish the players because we don't have anything else to do! We COULD level more jobs, but what will that get us? Nothing? Why? Because Myth Cap is 300 and we can't gear out those jobs!
Some hardcores complain that there isn't enough content -- so they have nothing to do, and others whine that it takes far too long to complete content (due to Myth cap).
MMO hardcore players... Nothing better to do with their time I guess LOL
This sounds like a horrible idea:Greetings,
As was mentioned during the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX, we'll be introducing a feature for the Duty Finder in patch 2.1 that will place you in a random dungeon in order to get people participating in a wider variety of dungeons.
Specifically, we will be breaking down dungeon content into different categories such as leveling dungeons, level 50+ dungeons, and primal battles, and players will be matched for random content. You'll be able to challenge each category once every real-world day and as a reward you will receive each kind of Allagan tomestones. Participants will be matched with priority on content that is lacking members.
Also, in order to strike a proper balance between this plan and the experience points gained by participating in FATE, we will be increasing the amount of experience points gained in dungeons in patch 2.1.
So twice a day I click this random dungeon thing:
1x - I get bonus tomes for doing a Primal Fight, might be Ifrit, may be Titan
1x - It is going to be an XP Dungeon (useless for people at 50)
1x - It is going to be a 50+ Dungeon.
So basically both pre 50 and post 50 this is adds in 2 things to do per day. If you want more people running primals (such as Ifrit) you will need to give them more than a once per day lock. If you want people running more dungeons in general then it needs more than a once a day lock.
You can get 150 myth in Coil in one hour. Now that Twintania is dropping, they can get 200 myth out of Coil overall. WP can be run in 10-15 minutes with a good group. You can be done with dungeon content in one day. What's left? Leveling another class? That's FATE grinding. Level a craft? More grinding. "Hardcore" players will grind out those extra classes and crafts, sure. The complaint is coming from the raiders, who are good at raiding, complete the raids fast, and aren't interested in another grind. It's a valid complaint. Past time in my company for waiting for the next raid week has been PoE, LoL, and TOR. And the same thing is happening to many other companies.
That being said, the topic of this thread is to increase dungeon exp, and I entirely agree. I also think Moogle Mog should have a normal mode version and quest line for first time leveling players as there are times when you run out of quests. It'd be nice to have an optional primal to run like there were optional dungeons, but that doesn't seem like it will be the case. Hopefully we get more information on the Beast Tribe dailies soon.
1x you get bonus tomes for doing a primal battle. No indication if this will be the sub-50, 50, or chance of either. PUG'ing HM Titan will become slightly less painful with ilvl restrictions on content. This sounds like a horrible idea:

1x you get bonus tomes for doing a sub-50 dungeon. Not useless if you are 50 provided that the rewards are worthwhile for the time invested.
1x you bet bonus tomes for running a 50 dungeon with randoms instead of friends/shout groups.
So basically this adds 2 things to do per day before 50, and possibly 3 at 50.
Primal population should be fine as it's the perfect "bite sized" content for people who want to score some tomes but don't have time to run a full dungeon (and may not be of the correct class + gear level for a sub-10m WP speed run).
Once per day is fine, as well. As long as the effort:reward ratio is reasonable, the take rate should be plenty high, and the volume of daily logins should be sufficient to keep dungeon queues moving.
Dailies are supposed to be easy and approachable so that the maximum number of people take advantage of them. Considering that the average time for most dungeons in an average group is about 30m across the board (with some variation), you're looking at about 75-90 minutes (including a bit of queue time) to clear all 3 categories. A bit shorter for tanks, a bit longer for DPS, obviously.
That's a reasonable amount of time if the rewards are worthwhile, but much more would start to turn players off.
I doubt it'll be perfect out of the gate, but it's a fairly straightforward way to increase participation in content. It probably won't make a great improvement for DPS queue times, unfortunately, since the tank shortage won't magically disappear, but it is likely that some tanks burned out on spamming the same couple of dungeons over and over will flag up if the rewards are worthwhile.

Thank you!
This kinda change will definitely make things more interesting than the usual fate or wp/ak grind. ^^
