OP,
Thanks alot for putting all of this information together. I to have been tanking end game in MMOs for many years. I got my start with EQ1 back in 99.
Think ive tried almost every MMO since then, but have had my biggest end game progression in EQ1/EQ2/WoW/Rift. Usually always a main tank.

Im just getting started in FF14 so this thread is helpful to get me off in the right direction. I look forward to seeing it grow and possibly adding a few gems along the way.

I need help on spending Myth tomes on my PLD

Should I go for AF 2 head first piece? since Allagan body you can get it from Turn 1 and I plan to do it every week ( I gonna bet on drops )

I can't decide yet which parts of AF 2 I should grab, anybody please give me advice

In my opinion, AF 2 Head piece seems fair exchange since Allagan Head drops in Turn 5 ( lol I don't plan to go that far, not yet )

Got my Relic yesterday and went ahead and threw the +1 on it. Now to decide if I want to +1 the sword or see if we get some good drops from Coil T1 tomorrow.

I added tables in the BiS section of the gear post, use the non turn 5 to help direct you on how to spend your myths.

I did some calculations last night and it would seem that the hands are the biggest upgrade vs myth head/hoplite body coming from full darklight. I'd suggest going Hands > Head > Ring > Wrist, if you plan on skipping myth body, and gearing the rest out of allagan. I'm not sure what would work out best should you get Allagan body before you're ready to spend but I can see head being a reasonable first choice in that scenario.

Do you have any advice for holding enmity with Titan HM fight? I followed the rotation on the guide, and it works great most of the time. The issue I'm having is losing enmity from healers. I notice that it happens often when I run with relic and/or af1.5 geared party. They always tell me that I'm not spamming Flash enough. I try to voke followed by shield lob when healers cast medica after each titan jump. Sometimes I voke too early, so maybe that's the problem too? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work with the guide.

Note: I do not have relic yet. I'm only wearing DL/Garuda sword.

You just put Shield Oath on and spam the Rage of Halone combo, shouldn't be losing enmity in a single target fight like that.
