Should gear dropped in dungeons be given bonuses for completing the set?

I've always hated set bonuses. It makes gear really annoying to mix-match, and everyone ends up looking the same. Plus the greyed-out text on the gear makes me OCD when I don't wear the full set.

1.0 was the best when everyone could wear anything. I could equip leather on my WHM and be somewhat tanky while sacrificing mage stats.

Everyone looks the same now and does in every other MMO when there's actual gear worth wearing/weapons worth using.

While true there was absolutely no image to the game and people purposefully wore the wrong stuff just because they like the look of x gear set even though them tanking anything above a marmot would become a massacre.
