get 3friends and run with em!No, but not because the idea itself is bad. I just don't want to see the effect it would have on the game with my impression of the community. I foresee this sort of thing on starting dungeons:
WHM: Everyone ready to go?
DPS1: Ready!
DPS2: Ready!
Tank: I'm only going if everyone agrees that any drops for [non-tank set] go to me. I'm just doing these runs to collect them for my other class. Otherwise, I drop now and good luck getting a replacement.
or shout:
LF healer for [dungeon].
WHM here, I'll go on agreement that all drops for [non-healer set] go to me. Just working on collecting gear for another class.
Edit: I hate that I actually feel that way about the community right now and I really hope things improve.
Set bonuses are already implemented in the system, but currently (for who knows what reason) only grand company gear has them.

I support set bonuses, but I often want to wear my own style.
I liked the way SWTOR dealt with set bonuses: You could extract the set bonus from the gear set and place it in another gear set.
However, what SWTOR did wrong was extract the gear stats along with the bonus, so eventually with the level cap rise, people gave up setbonus for higher stats. Therefore, I think SE should simply allow extraction of a set bonus independently of stats.
We currently have set bonuses with GC gear. But a lot of GC gear is not really everyones taste and cannot be dyed (a trouble for Uldah as most mage gear is a dull grey...)

If someone said that to me, I'd loot it anyway and let them leave.
I actually don't think gear should have set bonuses, it makes gear progression that much more difficult when you're trying to upgrade from a set to a new one and you realize you actually don't want to use the newer gear yet because you'd sacrifice the set bonus of the previous set.
Also, vanity slots should hopefully "fix" the cosmetic disasters that certain classes are facing when it comes to mix and matching gear from all different places, whether it be DL, mythos gear or allagan.

That's true on one point, that people would definitely want to farm the dungeons simply for the set bonus and do nothing else 'til they got it. On that same token, however, it'd definitely get people off of the whole "FATE grinding is so boring! But it's the only way to level!" mindset, as they'd be leveling through running the dungeons. A lot of people seem to be clamoring that they want dungeons to get a buff--well, here's something that can help! And as someone who runs dungeons over FATE grinding, I gotta say that it's not as bad as some people make it out to be.I actually don't think gear should have set bonuses, it makes gear progression that much more difficult when you're trying to upgrade from a set to a new one and you realize you actually don't want to use the newer gear yet because you'd sacrifice the set bonus of the previous set.

Of course, looking back on this, it brings up the issue that people would only run the dungeons that drop armor rather than those that drop a rare weapon at the end, such as Halatali or Haukke Manor. But I'm hesitant to say that rare weapons should include special traits, or higher stat boosts on those weapons--or at least higher than they already have.
