it's the game, not the location.

I agree the built in delay creates some of the worst play issues on evasion and casting. just getting a bit tired of people trying to lay blame on the servers being in Canada when the decision to put them there is actually beneficial to cross Atlantic play. the US gets little or no additional benefit and nothing detrimental from it either.

I vote NO, because FFXI had decent ping worldwide for all regions in one server and creating a new EU server this late in the game would cause a mass exodus of euro players on our current servers. 12am-7am US time is already a ghost town of a joke for Full servers.

The answer is to find a better data center or vastly improve the current one, its a cheaper option and everyone is happy.

Trying play on brazil to see if the ping is decent, u may say payable, but decent, never.

Guys, what you are all failing to notice is that you can use proxys and VPNs to lower your ping, therefore part of the problem is the route your ISP chooses to get across the pond. If it was entirely because of the physical location of the servers proxys and VPNs would have very little effect, not the omg dis is much better effect we see.

And Yes I do live in the UK and I do play on a NA server, do I complain, nope.

What is with all these petitions? A petition is meant to be something that you feel so strongly about that you are going to seriously commit to seeing it through all the way. Something that you will campaign for and fight for, not just a rant on forums. I don't see any true validation in this, along with other petitions such as "I hate my DL hood! petition!"

All of you who agree or have "signed" this petition, are you saying you will refuse to play if they do not relocate the servers to Europe? Because if you're not then Square-Enix aren't going to take this seriously at all, along with the ten million other petitions you see on here.

There is no need for servers located in the EU.
At least it is not the solution to the delay problem that so many players have.
Maybe ISP, maybe client, maybe servers.
But not the location of the servers.
