The opposite happened to me, some friends took me through Ifrit and Garuda and had me in the Titan fight as a fresh 50 scholar with a hq crafted level 47 weapon, full AF, crafted jewelry, and a whopping 2700 hp. By the time they got the heart down I had to get rezzed twice.

The fight is every bit as punishing for melees as it is for casters. The only class that isn't under significant mechanical duress in this fight is Bard.

I agree. Punctuation and formatting makes for a good post.

While it has been shown to be doable in "far less than optimal" gear these are usually people who've done the fight many many times before and are just doing it for the challenge. I'd recommend you get most of your darklight done first if you're going the pickup route.

    Also, paragraphs!

I really do feel sorry for some of you out there that just want to play and learn the game/role. I'm nice most of the time unless otherwise. If you're under geared, I'll tell you nicely instead of treating people like dirt. If you're having problems with the run, I'll tell you what to do especially to players new to the dungeon. And I don't usually leave unless majority leaves. Everyone was new at dungeons/instances once. I don't see why you shouldn't help new people to become good/better. I think if it as a community thing. Help someone become better for the sake of less troublesome runs in the future. Or something like that.

Hey everyone so last night i have gotten a little pissed off and ranted after that dungeon, sorry for the ranting that all lvl 50's are d**ks. That statement is false and would like to appologize, i think its more my luck of running into more that are rude than most. And yes i do understand that i need to put my time in to get gear don't get me wrong i have been playing AK for quite some time, just my luck that i have every other classes gear but mine so far. I know have done my research and my knowledge over titan and im usually the last one to die because i know what titan is going to do next. What dos annoy me is the people that group close together in that fight and then are like omg why is it that were getting plums on use all the time and striking. But im nice so i tell them why. I think its just my perspective that i find some peoples attitudes threw there talking a little agressive.

Yesturday i asked a higher level 50 DGN on some advice on what i need to do before titan so people would be accepting of me for the fight- as i asked nicely. But he shrugged me off and said look up online.
This game would be alot more fun to play the AK's and bosses to get the gear if those people would be a little nicer. Giving advice is nice and as well as explaining but my feelings are that the high 50's want to be the kings and queens while the low 50's get pushed down in the dirt. Now dont get my wrong i am putting my time into AK and im about to get my chest piece then the rings.

P.S. when i do find the nice people why do they advice me to fight ifrit for the weapon than garuda? I looked up weapon stats earlier today and garuda beek seems way better than ifrits weapon. Is it just easier to get?

P.S.S My friend is a mage and he said that your only allowed one ring of that kind? Is that true. because i want the slashing ring and want to get 2 of them for drg but if this is true what do yall get?

Basically, do a lot of Ifrit and build your own AK groups, specifying in your shouts that you're gearing up and not going to be doing super speed runs and that people don't necessarily need to have DL/AF2/Allagan and Relic +1 to join, but you certainly wouldn't turn down those helpful souls that do happen to have all that should they wanna help out.

Small incremental increases to your gear, finally you can spam Garuda for your ilevel 70 weapon, work your way to full DF, and you'll be totally fine for Titan. Then you just gotta win the lottery with a group that can actually use the Focus Target function and watch the cast bars and not derp on telegraphed aoes.

Also I haven't killed titan yet myself, I took a break to level up a bunch of classes and DoHs.

Ifrit is easier than Garuda and the Ifrit weapon could help you beat Garuda. I basically always win Ifrit duty finder anymore. When I do Garuda and queue up solo in duty finder, I only win in about 1 out of 7 tries (only tried about 20 times). I would get the Ifrit weapon or Garuda weapon before seriously trying Titan. I cringe when I see more than 1 DPS without a primal weapon in Titan HM (others probably cringe for me only having 5.3k HP as tank but at least it's been done several times before). If you can reliably farm Garuda for the weapon, go for it. Otherwise, you should focus on Ifrit.

General rule for Titan: People won't usually complain if you have a primal weapon with DL/AK for the rest of your gear. I have a BLM friend that has Garuda weapon with full DL on his gear but iLvL 48 HQ rings with 3 melds each. The BLM has 3500 HP. A healer complained about the rings even though they are only slightly below Darklight gear (I think he only gains like 20 stats instead of 30 or something). So yeah, some people even complain if you have "sufficient" gear and aren't getting carried.

OP you are ignoring what everyone else is telling you, that you need better gear. This is made so easy for you that there's no excuse. You see we don't like helping people like you because you'll just turn around and throw what we tell you down the trash because you think you know better even though you are completely wrong and it was you that was the problem not the other way around.

Since I don't feel like writing a long ass post b/c I know you'll just trash my advice anyways but on the off-chance you don't:

    Order of Progression

    Ifrit HM - Weapon
    Wanderer's Palace - ilvl 55 armor + philo/myth tomes
    Amdapour Keep - ilvl 60 armor + philo/myth
Mor Dhona (vendor) - ilvl 70 armor purchased with philo tomes
Garuda HM - Relic quest, weapon if lucky
    Titan HM - Relic Quest
Relic Quest - ilvl 80 weapon
Binding Coil of Bahamut - ilvl 90 weapons/armor (should be decked out with ilvl 80 Relic and full DL to come in here)

Titan HM via duty finder is a pain, but DL gear is not required. I managed just fine with full AK gear and Ifrit bow. You just gotta be able to dodge AOE. Tumult is the only thing you gotta worry about HP wise.

Hell o Silent. I'm sure you are an excellent player. A primal weapon will go a long way toward contributing toward your dps. There is a dps check in Garuda. The dps check in ifrit is not as punishing and can be done with a full party in their AF gear. There's also more experienced people queueing for ifrit with less of a wait to enter so chances are you will succeed using DF. I suggest trying to farm him. If you can find a tank or healer to queue with you will have no wait.

Honestly, I'd be very surprised if you can contribute enough dps to break Titan's heart. That has nothing to do with skill or people being snobs. That's simply the mechanics of the game.

Farm WP for gear. Use the stones to start getting DL. Once you get a primal weapon start farming AK for gear. Once you've upgraded every piece of gear you are wearing to i60 or better then start trying to find a Titan group.

In regard to the rings you can just get both a maiming and striking ring, both have useful stats.
