I will make only one defense for healers regarding the threat meter since I play both tanking and healer. we never direct target the mob.
so all we have to go by is the horrid color coded threat meter. I wish we could see the threat meter that's in the Party list.
Now that I think about it. Maybe that's what focus target does, I can't say I've used it much. I tried it out once playing with my wife thinking it
would show my focus target on her screen but it didn't. I think I'm gonna try that out next time I'm on.

Fight or Flight - Shield lob
Then your 1-2-3 combo should plant enough hate on you.
Once he jumps and lands shield lob (use fight or flight if it's up) and Provoke if needed (if your healers are spamming AOEs)
Ask your healers not to spam medica 2 when he lands.
If you can flash seconds before busters you likely avoid 30-50% of them.

Thanks, guys! Also, I do have a fully geared Darklight Paladin with Ifrit's Blade.
lol you don't "keep hate" on Titan... the healers "let you have hate."
I had to tell a tank I was helping with Titan that sometimes if the healer set up is not good and one healer is not pulling their weight with cures, then it forces the other healer to pull hate trying to make up for it. I told him, "Just have your provoke ready. He's pulling hate because he has to."
Healers and tanks have to work together in that fight

If you are losing hate to a WHM, then it's the whm's fault. You can only do so much enmity generation when they spam medica II, when it's not necessary to do so pre phase 5. Even if they still have to, they need to be using Shroud of Saints more often. Full mp or not.
And FYI, I am a career whm. I pulled hate one time on Titan (my first run) and never did it again. You just have to watch it. People underestimate the power Medica I has too. I use it instead of II pre-heart. That's what your second healer is for regardless if it's a sch or whm.
A WHM shouldn't be "spamming" Medica II regardless, because of how some of its healing is tied into a HoT. They should only use it once and if more healing is still necessary, finish up with a Medica while the HoT is ticking (or single target heals to top people off, if you've got enough time or people are too spread out). I've never had a single aggro issue healing in this manner in any fight where Medica/Medica II come up as useful spells. If you are losing hate to a WHM, then it's the whm's fault. I'm a lvl 48 scholar and I haven't seen a threat reduction skill yet. SE probably thinks we don't need one since we're only 2/3 of a healer without our pet. But I know I rarely pull threat, but my faerie...I don't know what she's doing but I've seen her do more tanking in the dungeons than I ever thought possible.
No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!

I just run through him shield lob the instant he's in range, Circle of Scorn, Flash. Then into rotation Fast Blade, Savage Blade, Rage of Halone*. Rense repeat and drop Cricle of Scorn when it comes up. Make sure shield oath is up (you generate more threat with it up and take 20% less dmg).
If anybody pulls of you like that then you are under geared and you have a bunch of high dps (they overgear you). In which case the only way your going to hold hate is to have them back off. On the party list, there are enimity meters, DPS should know when to stop dpsing when they see their meter sitting at 90+%.
Make sure you have the best gear you can have so you gen more threat. AK Il 60 gear/Darklight and Garuda's Weapon.

Scholar lacks the raw power and group regen from White Mage. In 9 out of 10 times, the scholar and fairy will be the last ones on hate list. There's absolutely no need for a hate reduction skill on SCH because your entire group has to be all sorts of bad for you to out hate everyone. You can get higher on the list if you heavily outgear the party, spam succor and cleric stance DPS, but even so, it's hard to grab hate from a tank who knows what he's doing.I'm a lvl 48 scholar and I haven't seen a threat reduction skill yet. That said, if the fairy uses Whispering Dawn on a 8-man group before the tank has some time to grab hate, it might end up getting too much hate for the same reason as Medica II. Put it on steady / obey to avoid it, but otherwise hate is never a problem.
