You can save myth tomes for 3 weeks and buy AF2 body ASAP.

Thought about doing this...but the AF2 HEad/Body combo has significantly less Accuracy than the Cowl. That's not a good thing for a BLM that wants to do coil. Of course you can make up for it with other gear...but that's more Myth farming/waiting.

Lots of people seem to have an issue with this. They can't remove the cowl now, but I guess they'll introduce the option to have the hood down at some point.

Hmm... I like this. Would be nice to just remove my hood, and put a hat on my head!! But, naw... I'm cool with the Cowl. Just gotta work harder for AF+1. Efforts must double!!

Guys they remade the whole game in less than two years nevermind them having 10+ years of experience with multiple MMOs and 25+ years in game development. It's impossible to do, I'm sorry you expect a high level of quality from a AAA company with multiple hits under their belt, stop the entitlement right meow and defend them more.

I also was tired of the cowl. but because ak, wp cm and praet all give 100 tomes, I do not see whats holding you back to collect 1125 tomes to get the potash needed to get the crafted robes. the rest of the mats cost little. I am cowl free for a darn long time.

Gonna have to agree with Shadowzanon on this one. I, personally, bought the mats for the robe and hat, but there is nothing stopping people from farming for the mats instead of farming for the cowl. If you are the type of person to complain about not being able to see your character's head then take the time to get something that shows it. Add in the fact that the robe and hat give you better stats when you finish melding them and it seems like the obvious choice.

That is less than half the time of a normal game's development process. It's just simple time restraints that prevent everything they want done from being done. The most talented people in the world only have so much time to devote themselves to not matter what kind of advances they could make in other fields. Could they make an individual 3D graphics model for each cowl to allow putting the hood down, yes they could. Would that be a nice addition to the game, yes it would be. Would I rather have new classes, a housing system, fixed Odin/Behemoth fates, Crystal Tower, The Golden Saucer, PvP, and more primals first? You bet your ass I do. Mentioning primals, I'd also like to have SMN be more about their pet and less about dots before they focus on cowls.

We got around this by melding accessories I think, the allagan body works too if I recall correctly.
