The PlayStation4 is releasing in the USA on 11-15-2013.
The PlayStation4 is releasing in the EU on 11-29-2013. (2 weeks after USA)
The PlayStation4 is releasing in Japan on 2-22-2014. (3 MONTHS after USA and EU)

Color me wtfpwn'd? Why would sony release their console last in their home territory?
