mine has been stuck at 67.1% for the past hour. Every 20 mins, I close and reopen...it shoots to 67.1 and stops lol...I hate this thing -.-

People shouldn't have to "resort" to using another torrent program to increase the speed of their download.

Took 10 min.s to download, 10 min.s to install for me. Same for a couple of RL friends. Last time the updater gave me trouble was back in phase 2 beta. It's been quick every other time.

either you're trolling or SE just likes you because I've been downloading this thing for the past 2 hours (almost 3) and it hasn't gone past 69.3%....It only took it about 15 mins to get to 60% then from there, it's been at a crawl. ETR: 8 hours. Really SE? Ports are open and everything. Make a patcher that doesn't fail, kthxbye.

There's enough trolling on this forum. I don't need to add to it. I started it up 2 hours ago and for the first 2 or 3 min.s it was 1 to 15kb, then it went to 1mb/s and held steady. Even with the fast download, I'm bored since the servers are still down.

Edit: Correction.. servers just came up.

Torrenting works great for me:

I will try to give you the step by step.

1) Once the new patch is out, launch the game. After it starts to download you can cancel it.

2) Go to this directory:
C:\Users\XXX\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\metainfo
a. Find the most recent file "prolly be the date of the patch" and double click it "assuming you have a torrent client open" this will "Torrent" the patch.

3) Once the download is complete open the containing folder, then copy the file.

4) Go to this directory:
C:\Users\XXX\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\patch
a. paste the file into the directory, it may complain a bit "the file the client tried to download is there" just paste the new file over the old.

5) Launch the game, it should automatically install the new patch and your good to go.
