    ? How would you obtain 50k seals as a lower level job, but not be able to do the same as a higher level (specifically lv50)? FATEs still reward you seals at 50 if I recall right.

    The manuals are not meant to be a necessary/mandatory part of your crafting/gathering experience. They are extremely nice, but just like rested exp, are not meant to last forever. You'll have to put in the time if you want that boost, time which could otherwise be spent leveling your craft normally. It's somewhat along the lines of leves. It's your choice to only level through leves, you'll just have to wait for leve refills, which is essentially the same as putting in time to farm seals for the manuals (a certain amount of time until you get the things you want). It's thought out well enough, you just haven't come to terms with it because you view them as mandatory.
