I don't think the problem is lack of GC's. It's the 20K cap on the GC experience items. 35 to 50 run in the 250K to 500K range. 20K per 1440 seals works out to around 300K seals per gathering class.
3 hrs or 200K would be more in line with leveling in this game. Not 20
Yes you can gain seals grinding level 50 fates as a level 50 but that's all you're gaining... I rather take a little longer acquiring those seals while leveling up another class. (2 birds with 1 stone)
I feel like the game awards a decent number of seals as-is. Though, I do feel that dungeons should reward seals. I prefer running dungeons to doing FATEs, so I don't get nearly as many seals as those who just grind FATEs.![]()
I think there is a lot of confusion as to what I actually said, so I'll reiterate my earlier post with a bit more clarity. I do understand there are other methods of gaining seals, including the hunting log that none of you even bothered to mention (so three more methods) but if you actually time the amount of seals you get per minute the quickest and most efficient method is to run fates at 50 which is 281 seals per fate.
Sure you can do provisioning or hand in gear but in reality both these methods are a lot less efficient on either time or mats required. So if your looking to maximize the amount of seals obtained the best method is running fates. My entire point wasn't that fate grinding gives too little seals, I actually like the amount of seals I get doing fate grinding, my entire point was, and I quote, "This really doesn't seem like something that was really thought out."
For one thing, there's a 40k XP boost once you reach the second tier of ranks. For another, 200K is way too much for one item that you can easily get, and is not even mandatory for leveling. For a third, how many people are likely to burn through 200K of what is equivalent to rest XP in 3 hours?
Correction, you are actually wrong in your correction, there are five ways. Two of which are dailies (not dallies) and turning in rare items, and the last method is the GC hunting log, which you conveniently forgot. Most likely you forgot it while you were sitting on your high horse you had a severe lack of oxygen as the air at that altitude is very thin.
Yeah guess that makes sense as to why a level 50 war using a relic in a low level dungeon was needing on DoW gear for level 30s that the DRG or ARC/BRD could have actually used (being new and all.)
They definitely need a new way just to keep people from taking gear solely for seal purposes.
The scrolls don't work how you think they work...
They're an additional 50% xp bonus on top of what you get from gathering/crafting, and that bonus is what eats the 20/40k, not the entire xp number.
One of the really messed up parts of seals is that as you level up your DoH it becomes harder to get seals. Sure you get more seals per turn in but when you need a combine that needs 35 shards and usually a rare ingredient or two, there's no way it's worth the effort to get all that stuff compared say turning in something that's made with 2 iron bars. I haven't turned in any level 50 DoH stuff because it wouldn't be worth it. Of course I have no particular need for seals at this point, but it's still pretty dumb.
