Need a new way to make GC Seals

At the moment GC seals can be made via two methods, running fates and GC leves. One of the main uses of seals other then equipment is the manuals that boost gathering and crafting, so if you'd like to level up a DOL/DOH profession, seals are almost a necessity.

Since, as a gatherer or crafter, leves are too important for us to waste on seals we either have to level up a new character or use an already existing level 50 to grind seals running fate. This really doesn't seem like something that was really thought out.

Are you kidding? Leveling a second DoW job will get you 50000 seals before you hit level 40 without doing any leves.

Oh man you would have hated 1.0! There were so few ways to get seals, and even they rewarded very few.

My biggest gripe with the whole GC seal system is the imbalance in ways to obtain the seals. If I take 2 days to level another job to 40 I'll have 50,000 seals. If I don't level a new job the most seals I'll get is roughly 1,000 a day. No point to turn in expensive products to gain 300ish seals.

Turn in equipment for GC seals. Can even run lowby dungeons while leveling up another class.

This is why I greed everything regardless. The max you can get from an AK drop is like 173 seals, but if everyone is passing on the junk because they have it already or don't want it, you can make out alright during a run.

There are 2 more ways than what you listed.

GC daily supply and provision mission, you get a new one daily for every DoL and DoH class you have, The are like 1 free leve, that gives xp and seals instead of $. For DoH you hand in 1 item chosen at random for your current level range. For DoL you hand in 10, Fish is 5 or 10 depending if it requires mooching or not. Even at low levels doing them all will get you enough to buy the lesser xp book.

Then once you get your GC rank up to the 2nd rank of 2nd tier, you get expert delivery missions. These just let you trade in any pink or green equips for seals.

I personally feel that getting seals is more than easy and there's more than enough methods to get them...plus things that you didn't mention like turning in useless equipment and daily gc class related quests.

I've got plenty of these things and not a lot to spend them on besides maybe those papers that help you level quicker.

Long story short, I don't see the need to add anymore ways of getting these.

I always check the provisions turn ins before I gather or craft for the day. It only takes a minute to get the extra goods and you get DOL/DOH xp with the seals. It's not many seals, but they're practically free. Plus the endless stream of DOW gear I get off greed rolls are turned in.

? How would you obtain 50k seals as a lower level job, but not be able to do the same as a higher level (specifically lv50)? FATEs still reward you seals at 50 if I recall right.

The manuals are not meant to be a necessary/mandatory part of your crafting/gathering experience. They are extremely nice, but just like rested exp, are not meant to last forever. You'll have to put in the time if you want that boost, time which could otherwise be spent leveling your craft normally. It's somewhat along the lines of leves. It's your choice to only level through leves, you'll just have to wait for leve refills, which is essentially the same as putting in time to farm seals for the manuals (a certain amount of time until you get the things you want). It's thought out well enough, you just haven't come to terms with it because you view them as mandatory.
