    Well I disagree with most of you.

    Other games don't do this. I don't see why this one has to. And it may be plenty of time for you, but it's not for me and a lot of groups I'm in. Not to mention I can't count the amount of times I've joined a group in progress only to see it only has 10 minutes or so left and there is no way to finish the run. Nothing like joining an instance and knowing you are going to fail before you even fight anything. So to say it's plenty enough time for everyone just isn't the reality.

    It's a stupid mechanic and is greatly affecting my enjoyment of this game. I hope they get rid of it, else I may be packing it up over this one.

    I don't care if they removed the timers or not what I would like to see is of someone leaves or gets disconnected that the timer pauses until they come back or a replacement is found. Had it happen in aurum vale where got to the last boss with about forty minutes to spare and the dd disconnected by time we got a new one we had like ten minutes to finish the fight

    Looks like people aren't picking up on your sarcasm - Otherwise there's clearly a common denominator that if every dungeon you do you end up timing out..

    If you're packing up because of DF timers then please, don't let the door hit you on the way out. I'm willing to bet $5000 they won't be removed, at least in the next 3 years.

    LOL I can't help but laugh at this.... Have you tried to learn your class to help get threw the instances or make friends with competent players to carry you threw them? ROFL

    I have never seen another MMO where the number of possible instances was ever an issue. So SE should put in a pointless limitation because they can't make their game correctly?

    There are tons of games without instance time limits. Why aren't they having problems with running out of instances?

    Yes it's way too short. It barely allows time to learn the actual instance, let alone for the group to deal with a sudden emergency or a disconnect. I have joined at least 10 groups in just the last few days that have been unable to finish the instance due to restrictive time limits. It's gotten so bad I'm going to have to stop clicking "join group already in progress" because it's almost always a lost cause due to the stupid time limit.

    Why other players think this is fine or like it the way it is I have no idea. I really have a hard time understanding this new crowd that plays MMORPGs.

    I'm curious about what would happen if the time limit on instances was abolished and then thousands of trolls/RMTs/whatever sat for hours in their own instances and never get kicked out (cuz, you know, no time limit!). I imagine that eventually there would be no available instance slots for legitimate parties. Revisiting the AK "Reserving Instance" issue with every other instance in the game? Sounds fun.

    Wrong. Back in TBC/WotLK in WoW on Tuesdays after maintenance you'd commonly see people bashing themselves into the instance portal because too many groups were currently filling up the instance servers.

    Anyway, back to the topic at hand, instance timers are there for a reason. People could just lollygag around in the instances and not free them up for other groups to get in. Seriously, unless you're just in a completely sucktastic group (which from the sounds of things you always tend to end up in one, hmmmm...) most dungeons can be cleared in half of the time they give you.

    They're not going to get rid of timers unless there's a mass exodus of players and they are never in danger of filling up their instance servers again. So I recommend you either get used to it, or leave as you're threatening to do.

    Sorry, but no. This topic has been brought up 1000 times.

    The time limits are hugely generous, not strict. You can wipe many times in a dungeon and still make the time limit. You can watch every cutscene in its entirety, take your time and still make the time limit. I have never even come close to hitting the time limit in any instanced dungeon in the history of the game.

    The reason why the timers exist, which you seem to be oblivous to, is to ensure that avialable instances aren't taken up by people going AFK in dungeons.

    Remember when you had to wait an hour for an AK instance? you'd have to wait even longer if there was no instance timer.
