Gear requirements for Coils as healer?

Keep in mind that this is a SE game and that last FF MMO that SE made was FFXI. In FFXI, my friends and I had this old adage: "The worse a piece of gear looks the better it is!"

Ugh, so true! When I hit 50 my friend had some 1 star crafted gear for me and it looked HORRIBLE. And from what I've seen of the allagan armor...

@peaches Do I really have to quote what you said in your first post? Sounds like you were attempting to find a Coil group with some relatively "bad" gear.

Whoa, chill man there's no need to get like that. No, I was just asking if my current gear was good enough to even attempt it or not. Do you find it fun farming AK/WP literally 200 times for 20k tomes though? Highly doubtful.
