DPS=Damage Per Second

Oh... .My title does say it all though guys, so let me add some more. DPS I love all the feedback on MNK's as well, I did not know a lot of people actually felt they were good. BTW I know how to play my class and like I said I love it, but I feel a BLM has more to offer with it's range and damage output. So please keep it coming!

Depends on you personally. I prefer Mnk, more control. When I play Blm, I feel so disengaged.

Mnk: Hmm... what should I do next? Blood for Blood + Infernal release? Or use 1 at a time. Maybe I should pop both then Prefect Balance.

I love how engaging MNK is but I feel more in control when I'm a THM/BLM (I'm still leveling it). I initially wanted to level MNK as my DPS class because it has an arsenal of options it can do when doing DPS. However, if a party falls apart with a lot of adds, the MNK can burst DPS, use mantra to help healing, use featherfoot to avoid some damage, off-tank a single add, and a few other things. All of those things help the MNK greatly and the party marginally. In contrast, when a party falls apart with a lot of adds, the BLM can bind the adds with sleep or freeze, assist with healing, limit break the adds, and a few other things. The BLM can really help entire group in that situation. I feel like I have more control in keeping the party alive if things go bad as a BLM and a dead party does 0 DPS...

Personally, I think Monk is the top DPS in a perfect world. (Which after 2.1 this perfect world will happen more often) Summoner and Black Mage when used properly are up there. Bard has the most up time but its top DPS is noticeably lower than other Jobs. Dragoons, until the patch fixing their jump animations, are just average at the moment. My order in the best conditions:

1) Monk
2) Black Mage
3) Summoner
4) Bard
5) Dragoon

7) Warrior
8) my pet cat
9) Paladin
