Hmm, you mean with large FATEs? Because otherwise, I don't experience any lag at all with the game and I play on the highest settings atm. My computer isn't even what I'd consider top notch. In fact it's already about 3-4 years old.Your other points were good, but this one? I'm sorry, but this game has bad server lag. You can white-knight that all you want, but it doesn't make it any less true. When someone can max out games like Guild Wars 2 and play with no lag at all, but can't do that with FFXIV on low settings, there is something wrong.
And to just be clear: It's server lag, not a FPS drop. The game runs well. The servers cannot handle the load. But even WoW had this problem for about the first year.
The only time I do experience lag is during the Odin FATE due to the huge amount of people that are usually in that one place to partake in it. Which is pretty standard fare when you have hundreds of players congregating in one small area and even then the lag isn't really disturbing my own play very much. If anything the main problem it causes is that sometimes Odin will disappear and I'll have to tab around until he's targeted again. Other than that, the only thing the Odin lag does is make the sound effects all funky and delayed to where it's just one mass of sound effects all going off continually.
I actually haven't participated in Behemoth, but I'd imagine it's a similar experience.

You guys complaining about this are entirely too selfish. Little ...12 year old spoiled brats raised by an overloving mommy I am guessing. Listen the WORLD does NOT revolve around YOU! Ok?! The content that they release in MMO's ...ALL OF THEM. Is not just for you. They didn't call you on the phone and ask what you wanted because your not everyone. And you alone certainly are not going to pay their bills. They release content for ALL aspects and all demographics. Hardcore? There is a challenging dungeon out there called coil. Don't like running it day In and out? That's your business but no one has beaten it and its not bugged to hell, stopping it from being beaten so no excuses. Finish ALL content before you come on here declaring there is no more things for you to do.
Casual/hardcore? Tons of classes for you to level and get cross class skills or achievments for and items through those achievements. Saving up for a house and all the things to buy with it. Extremely casual? lots of dungeons for you to help lowbies learn and grow into the games series and learn to enjoy it. But I garauntee almost every one of you complaining there is not much to do haven't done everything. And before you go around saying this and that isn't content....you are making yourself look like an IDIOT!. It is CLEARLY content. It may not be the content you like or want. But someone out there is doing it and liking it so stop ragging it and everyone else down. If you don't like the game move on, but don't spread lies because the world isn't perfect and revolve around you.
good point, a MMO is constantly being worked on... to keep all it's players happy...
and heres the problem with making this game noob friendly...not trying to be mean to you OP but there are so many threads of ppl that dont know how a mmo works....i think there is plenty of content and i have been having fun and playing pretty steady for the 2 months its been out...and i have no intentions of stopping anytime soon lol
Technically ARR should be functioning as intended. Content-wise it'll never be done. Updates will always happen and periodic maintenance will interrupt your game-play. In a sense, I think there's security and technical issues that still needs addressing and well, yeah!
_The MMO in general feels unfinished, especially if they need to update the same content over and over because players are exposing "loop-holes" and glitches(cheats) within the dungeons.
_The system in my opinion is too convoluted and that makes the games corrupt.
Players are well on their way to ask for more reform and bettering the game(yet again). lol
Omg, I think the content is pretty big for me. PVP is optional. PVP will come at later patch for most mmo so bear with it.
I just hit lvl 50 and it took me almost 2 months. Do you have a job or something?
Believe me, after the PVP released, you will keep posting something like this commenting how OP this skill is and that JOB is. and then rage quit.
Just chill and enjoy the game will ya.
Speedruns and anything that makes you able to do something fast gets "fixed" very fast. But bugs like the 3rd boss in CM going invincible is still around. The MMO in general feels unfinished, especially if they need to update the same content over and over because players are exposing "loop-holes" and glitches(cheats) within the dungeons.
~'\[[_LEGACY_]]/'~TENTs because solo-friendly content forces me to want one!
