BARD NERF [requesting more details to the devs]

I choose BRD because i always play ranged dps and we already had 3 main BLM's. For the guy talking about "endgame setups", i can tell you this. In my group we still have to find a fight where BRDs song make the difference in winning or loosing. We are currently farming turn 1 to 4 whitout using bard songs.
The funny thing is the fact that most of the reply are a direct attack to me and are from people which still have to play the current endgame.

Lets go back to the point (i never said im the best, i only replyed to the "go play another class" whit "i already have them, geared", no need to extrapolate that and make me a nerd elitist monster from the space, because im not)

BRD --> medium to lowest dps in the game --> nerf ---> we want to know what will become of the class --> 2 option after that for my FC

a) move the weekly points/allagan drop to another DD class
b) keep gearing the FC BRDs

You do see your own hypocrisies in this post right? You say BRD isn't the highest DPS AND that you are not using their Songs. Thus you are not maximizing anything and your whole argument about maximizing and minimizing is irrelevant as you yourself say you are playing it because you always play ranged DPS. But from your own mouth you said it doesn't matter what you want to play you want to maximize. How is choosing a lower ranking DPS that you do not need/use the utility of make you maximizing? So what exactly are you trying to maximize then that would be affected by the slight nerf to the BRDs DPS?

Probably because it has an interrupt, and it's dps isn't that far off. And you need physical dps... it does help to have done the content before making comments like this. Not to mention you do have the songs available should something happen that causes healers to need some extra mp.

Which only furthers the argument that Bards are probably going to be just fine even after a 'nerf', whatever they decide to do.

I admit I forgot about there silence move. However, it only furthers the point that the little DPS nerf they are planned to get will not affect the OP in anyway and thus they are over reacting and being all high and mighty.

With all those BLM, you shouldn't you sing some requiem? Selfish bard is selfish, no love for the magic users dps.
