Not even gear based... more like exploit based. What with bunny hopping and players running around each other like psychotic puppies.

I only experienced this heavily in WoW. Other games I can't say I really ran into it. I did use to break LoS behind walls more often though in some other games. Yeah, off the top of my head I didn't do a lot of bunny hopping in MMO pvp, only in FPS's.

But I would say that this game is incredibly polished in some places, and lacking in others. It's a "new game" but I still have fun when I play most of the time. But I'm usually drinking at the same time, so maybe that's the contributing factor.

This game is pretty polished and "fully finished" as ONE single player game with a few multiplayer options. If you just play for the main story, reach level 50 with one class, then you can say you fully experience the game - working as intended as if you are playing the "offline" FF version. Everything else after the end of the main story is extra, as it is now, it is acceptable bare bones extra on endgame - but quite hefty extras if you choose to "repeat" the grind level process on other jobs (consider it as your game plus mode, less story more grinding). Is it worth paying months after months? Nope. Is it worth paying after a year and 5 patches or so? Perhaps. By then you should have plenty of content to do.

I agree with the OP, but I'm going to wait until 2.1 before I decide to quit.

The game just doesn't seem to do anything that another game doesn't do better. I wouldn't mind a lot of the game's faults but I think most of the ones I have a major problem with won't be fixed anytime soon- namely the boring non-dynamic combat and lack of class/skill customization (everyone in your job is exactly the same).

Also, I'm not sure who designed the armor and clothes skins for this game but they need to understand that not everyone playing is a woman... I have to hide in my room when I craft because I'm too embarrassed to show my yellow apron dress.

Haha yeah. They only level one class as fast as possible and then complain on the forums. Except they aren't really complaining. They are bragging. "Look at me. I finished leveling my class."

If the game took 5x as long to level they'd be here complaining about how the game is too hard or too much of a grind. Just look at the DoL people. You can get from 1-50 in less than a week and people still complain about that.

It's odd, whenever I hear people complain about the lack of content I instantly think "LOLWUT are those people talking about, I got so much stuff to do and I capped almost everything (except the boring ARM >.>)"

I don't know what you guys want from a MMO but I'm satisfied and excited for everything else they're preparing. Even the PvP which I don't really like in MMOs, the exception being LotRO cause I could be a Warg there

Really don't NEED PvP in this game, game is fine with out it, if you want pvp go play the others game that has it...
