Yes, but you know what when the customers leave because they lack interest, the developer has no capital to develop a game. If all of us were to leave as you suggested because we are not going to agree on what is being said by the game staff... the game would be empty.I think several people here need to take a deep breath, unsubsrcibe for a little bit and maybe come back to the game later. People are really getting bent out of shape for something they were already told would be coming later and that is still in development.
It's cute you think you're the developer that gets to decide what content should be released first and when. But you are not. You are the customer. And contrary to the horribly false "The Customer is Always Right" statement, very few of you actually knows what would be best for the game.
If this is causing you so much anxiety and you don't know if you can "be entertained" or "not get bored", then leave. Seriously, take a break. If you're not having fun then why are you even here?
Oh and before you say vocal minority... typically it is estimated for every telephone call (or post) a person makes on a topic, ten people are thinking the same thing. Yes most people leave the game silently or don't voice their displeasure. So many voicing it means there is a lot of people not pleased with this game.
like not logging in for more than 2 hrs over the last two weeks because the game has no draw to do so? I paid for 6 months and by the look of it those 6 months will be over before they even get around to adding anything that might be fun to pursue currently the game has nothing post 50 worth even logging in for gathering is pointless, crafting is pointless, DOW/DOM are boring grinds without a story so exactly WTF do you expect people to say "EWW Look How great the game is!"?I think several people here need to take a deep breath, unsubsrcibe for a little bit and maybe come back to the game later. ITT. OP complains about something people who've kept up with the Live Letters have known about for a long time now.
Here's your ticket to slowville, oh it seems you've just arrived.
While it's nice to think that our individual subscriptions are so important that a handful of people leaving would somehow cause a noticeable decline in profits or that the departure of the same people would make the servers a ghost town, the numbers required to do either of those things is unrealistic as there also seem to be enough people who do enjoy the game and have fun beyond Endgame to make it a non-issue.Yes, but you know what when the customers leave because they lack interest, the developer has no capital to develop a game. If all of us were to leave as you suggested because we are not going to agree on what is being said by the game staff... the game would be empty.

"Typically it is estimated..." ...right.
Vocal Minority.
Just because you personally do not enjoy certain content does not mean there is not content that people can enjoy. Again, if you are not enjoying yourself, please take a break until they release content you will enjoy. Complaining that it isn't coming fast enough is just childish.
So MAAAAAAAD....too funny. LOLlike not logging in for more than 2 hrs over the last two weeks because the game has no draw to do so? I paid for 6 months and by the look of it those 6 months will be over before they even get around to adding anything that might be fun to pursue currently the game has nothing post 50 worth even logging in for gathering is pointless, crafting is pointless, DOW/DOM are boring grinds without a story so exactly WTF do you expect people to say "EWW Look How great the game is!"?
OP and his thread:
If you (the small minority) feel that the state of the game is unacceptable then simply stop subscribing. This whole thread is moot because SE already stated player housing and additional content to be released in coming patches. In my history of MMORPGs (both as a customer and employee for a producer of very large title I will not name) I have never seen a single launch where all of the game content was included / there were not game-breaking bugs.
To complain about something as inconsequential as player housing in a game (something almost purely aesthetic), to the extent that you would cancel your subscription is just mind boggling. I can understand the latency issues, end-game boss bugs, and other client/server related issues such as warping could be extremely detrimental. However, to threaten to quit over lack of housing and robust content after only a few months on the market demonstrates a naive, ignorant, overly-high standard for a newly launched MMORPG.
If you are that hard to please, then please, don't let the door hit you on the way out. There will be millions to come after you. You are not special. You are not required to operate the business, you are a tiny fraction of a percent of players.

Wondering if my bf and I would be able to rank up a FC if we made one together in order to have the FC housing option coming up in December. Does anyone know if this is possible with the two of us?

did you read all of what I said or did you skim it?
Housing is different from a mog house. A mog house is a simple four walled room, a square. With no outside graphics or interactive things. Its VERY basic. Also the furniture you can get in FFXI didn't do anything but sit and look pretty and might give you a small bonus that didn't mean anything,
Housing in FFXIV is more robus with a better user interface. It will have outdoor gardening, items will be interactive. You can change your roof, walls, almost everything and you get three different sizes. You will have both a outside and a inside to manage. You will also have different floors and will be able to change alot of the look of it from wallpaper to flooring. Expecting everyone out the gate to be handed is is unrealistic and should cost money and time to get.
Housing in FFXIV looks like the sims tbh.
Yes it is possible. My sibling and cousin 3 manned our FC to rank 5 with plenty of xp to use on buffs and etc daily. May take a little longer then most but it is doable.
