Waiting for a rng drop *COULD* span months. Time/Efficiency makes no sense in the argument when you are bringing a random element into the equation. This person is literally being more "efficient" than you by grabbing the best upgrade in a more definite way than farming the content.

To answer your question about Gloves vs. Weapon, wouldn't weapon fit your own personal theory? Since Turn 5 is weapon drops and you won't be close to downing that where as Allagan gloves (BiS) drop from Turn 4? Valor Helm should also be in your equation.


Chest and Legs are not only BiS for PLD, but look cool and mesh well with Hoplite Helm and Feet to hit your necessary caps for BC.

Let me guess, you bought the Chest first and you're trying to justify it to yourself? When you have enough Accuracy all you should aim for is getting as high item level as possible as the rest of the stats yield no significant increase to survivability.
