Jumping doesn't make you a fun person. You just don't want other people to be happy do you? Man sister, you are just one boring person. Like Thevedis said, you are going to have to accept that it is most likely going to happen just like auto-attack happened and I'm accepting it... Even though I didn't want it to begin with

old men who hate something new only for personal hate shouldn't get what they want
Eh, I don't hate the act of jumping or fight against it. I hate retarded demands for it such as yours. Not everyone arguing with you falls into this category of yours of closed-minded old-school gamers afraid of change. Many simply see your demands for what they are, nonsense.
I asked a question in one of the many other jump threads that went unanswered: If the game became awesome in every other area, non-stop enjoyable content, great class/job system, deep character customization options, etc. would you still hate it because it didn't have jump?
If you answer yes then you're the unreasonable, closed-minded one.
If no, then you admit jumping isn't that important and should shut up = D
You know I thought about the collision walls. But I didn't even consider the NEW platforms that would have to be added for things that are too big to jump in one bound. They would have to add some sort of traction for slopes. So you can accomplish those idiotic narrow wall climbs many games let you do by jumping incessantly.People just really don't get that being able to Jump doesn't add anything to the game unless they specifically design it to have a use which most MMOs with a jump mechanic has no use for it other than the ability to jump - So much so that people's only conclusion is it makes you "travel faster" because there's no real use for it.
Jumping over terrain? Won't happen unless they remove every collision detection because all you do while jumping is having an animation for scaling over terrain - XIV already does this without said animation. It's like people think you just plop down a feature and everything else follows, when in reality it's reversed - you need to design a use for it THEN implement the trigger.
