This is the strat we use. I'm not sure why. It's quite reliable, but it does make for really long fights (usually I will go dry on TP as PLD by the end of the fight). I think we do this because we have a hard time getting the snakes to split at 0 stacks, so when they split at 1 and essentially instantly double the number of stacks it becomes more taxing than it should to just brute force it.

Common misconception - you actually can't keep the snakes at 0 stacks. They will gradually grow in stacks even if you feed them, which is probably why this strat is less than ideal. When we kill it both snakes usually have 3-4 stacks, and that's feeding both every spawn (sometimes one is missed).

Imo it's not really a very well tuned fight though. It should be an advantage to use the "proper" mechanic to do the fight rather than ignore it.

    Same deal with Turn 4.

There is nothing "improper" about the burn strategy. There is no exploit, glitch, or cheat. NOBODY says you must feed slimes to the snakes at any point during the fight at all. Please stop telling yourselves that one way is more "proper" than the other.

Caduceus, like ADS(t2) and the elevator gauntlet of t4 have many ways of completing the fight. They are all legitimate and it all depends on how you and your group wants to function. They are really well tuned fights IMO. Could they be harder? Of course, any fight can be made 'harder', but where it is at right now is perfect for groups just entering with AK/DL gear.

This. As a WAR, I am always screaming for my mommy when the split reaches 2-3 stacks. Unless you can defeat both before it reaches 2 stacks, pulling slugs on WAR add will help out tremendously.

You must have a really really bad Scholar healer if he is having trouble healing at 2-3 stacks. When my FC first started it with low gear ilevel we got to 5 stacks and I was still able to heal my warrior as a scholar properly but takes communication to pull it off which everyone should have even if PuG.

I didn't know about these methods. I will be suggesting this in my next Coil run. Thank you OP!

This is wrong. I last all the way to 5 stacks, every-time. Blow yer faster returning CD's first... then wait until 4 stacks and start throwing them on. We run WHM/SCH as our healers.

Our strategy has been the same since we got in there over a month ago: Burn one snake down to 5%, switch DPS to the other, kill it, and just have the tank (me) kite the remaining add for a few seconds until it's dead or pop invincible. No one spawns any adds during this time because it's a total waste unless your healers and tanks are very undergeared.

Also, until a week or two ago our comp was 1 PLD 1 WAR, our WAR got hit pretty hard by the second add when his stacks got high, but our healers handled it just fine.

That's not true. Our WAR can take four stacks regularly.

What we usually do is burn the warriors one 1st but usually he dies and I just provoke merge em and sentinel it followed by a hallowed ground and kill it.

You CAN keep the snakes at 0 stacks if you spawn multiple adds when stacks start catching up. It adds a layer of difficulty, though.
