For those that keep asking "Why the **** do you play on PS3!?!?"

Its not that we dont like it.
I built my pc for gaming , cost me $1500, its what i like doing , its my hobby, why use something inferior when you dedicate alot of time to your interests?
Now my point..
I have a top notch gaming rig, games like ff14 are held back in all departments because they must run smoothly on a system that is 7 years old and costs one fifth of my gaming machine DESIGNED to run games like this...
Now having a top end pc in this scenario is nigh on useless, no matter how good it is, its allways going to run no better then a silly ps3....

No matter what, square cannot do anything to the game UNLESS it works well on an ancient piece of hardware....Pc users lose....the end......

Lets take Diablo 2 and 3 as examples for a moment...remember Diablo 2? One of the greatest games made? I had the most horrible computer back in the day and Diablo 2 ran fine on it..LOOKS were not the focus but instead it was gameplay. Look at Diablo 3...people literally bought the game and had to go out and purchase a new computer just to play it...I know because I'm one of the people who did it and did so only to find out that Diablo 3 is a horrible game compared to Diablo 2.

True gamers aren't into games for their looks but instead because of gameplay. I'll hop on FF7 today and play it with a smile on my face because the gameplay was top notch and still puts games to shame today. Enjoy spending $1000+ though so you can stare at real-life looking water in a game when you could have just took a quick trip out of your home to see water for the cost of the gas to get there.

@OP Well done Sir, i applaud your good sense and family comes first attitude.

I have PC and PS3 versions of the game and my PC runs it far better than the PS3 does but when the PS4 comes out i will be dumping my PC for gaming.
It makes no sense for me to have to continually throw money at PC parts to keep up with PC's constant upgrades just so i can play games smoothly.

PS4 £350. 6-7 years of gaming fun. oh yeah

PC £800-£1000 for initial PC then £100-£300 every couple of years or so just to keep up.
Yes PCs are things of beauty games look amazing on them. It is what got me into PC gaming but after years of having my pockets picked when i can play the same game with much less cost. Only difference being graphics... well yeah.

Dude I have Xenogears on my phone and all the Tales of Destiny games of Ps1 sigh I miss those kind of RPGs.

To the TC, i dont know why anyones actually arguing! Its clear you are not a serious gamer, so why do you care about pc vs ps3 anyway. Gaming seems a thing you do to kill an hour here, and hour there...

Bear in mind that it's not only PS3 that SE had to make the game compatible for. They want the most customers possible. So they made the game to be playable on something less than high end gaming PCs also. If they hadn't made this game for PS3, it would still have accommodated PCs that are less than perfect gaming rigs.

You may not realize it, but PS3 players are in endgame, and even a few from my FC are in coil. Most of the PS3 players I know use a keyboard for nothing more than chat.

I'm deep in coil now as a PS3 player...I can't say that I've used the keyboard for anything besides chat and taking perverted screenshots with the press of a button....that's it.

im a ps3 player & i dont use keyboard for coil
i do have a keyboard but it is mainly use for fc/pt chat
