For those that keep asking "Why the **** do you play on PS3!?!?"

I want to add my two cents here:

I started with Beta 4 on PC. Once official launch had been going on for a while, all of the PC Copies had been taken, but there was a surplus of PS3 copies. I picked that up because A)It was an MMO, B)It was there, and C)It's not like the PC version has exclusive content that PS3 can't access anyways.

Even after I switched back to PC, I continued playing on a controller. I use Logitech Dual Action, which at times feels clunkier than a PS3 Pad. And you know what? I can tank just fine. I don't need to use a control scheme used by the 90th Descendent of the Lich King Slayer or the Lord of All CoD Headshots.

In the end, whatever console you play on will not matter to me. The only thing that I give a damn about is whether you can perform your role when it counts. Capiche?

i was in a party last night where a member went as far as to tell me where and what type of pc i need to buy. the only difference on the ps3 is that it takes 30+ more seconds to type something out but otherwise i'm able to keep up with, or even surpass the speed of my team.

Just plug in a USB keyboard.

I played entirely PC games from the time I was 7 until about 15 when my family got an Xbox. I still preferred the PC at that time. I have had a PS3 for close to 4 years now and I have pretty much stopped playing PC games entirely. I'm just more comfortable with a controller. Yes the PS3 is old and has limitations. But the PS4 is right around the corner, and I'm hoping the game will be much better on that. So yeah, for some people, using the PS3 is not just a matter of finances.

More than anything I'm not sure how people can put up with the framerate on the PS3. I've got a mediocre laptop from 4 years ago and even THAT gets a better framerate than the PS3 version.

@OP Well done Sir, i applaud your good sense and family comes first attitude.

I have PC and PS3 versions of the game and my PC runs it far better than the PS3 does but when the PS4 comes out i will be dumping my PC for gaming.
It makes no sense for me to have to continually throw money at PC parts to keep up with PC's constant upgrades just so i can play games smoothly.

PS4 £350. 6-7 years of gaming fun. oh yeah

PC £800-£1000 for initial PC then £100-£300 every couple of years or so just to keep up.
Yes PCs are things of beauty games look amazing on them. It is what got me into PC gaming but after years of having my pockets picked when i can play the same game with much less cost. Only difference being graphics... well yeah.

If you don't like that this games is on the PS3, that's a you problem.

Its not that we dont like it.
I built my pc for gaming , cost me $1500, its what i like doing , its my hobby, why use something inferior when you dedicate alot of time to your interests?
Now my point..
I have a top notch gaming rig, games like ff14 are held back in all departments because they must run smoothly on a system that is 7 years old and costs one fifth of my gaming machine DESIGNED to run games like this...
Now having a top end pc in this scenario is nigh on useless, no matter how good it is, its allways going to run no better then a silly ps3....

See our point?
No matter what, square cannot do anything to the game UNLESS it works well on an ancient piece of hardware....Pc users lose....the end......

To the TC, i dont know why anyones actually arguing! Its clear you are not a serious gamer, so why do you care about pc vs ps3 anyway. Gaming seems a thing you do to kill an hour here, and hour there...
