I miss exploration, the feeling of adventure I got from FFXI, I have yet to get that feeling in this game. The first time in Dangruf Wadi, The feeling of danger running through Valkurm Dunes, the first time leveling and exploring in Crawler's Nest. The promyvion areas were quite memorable as well, sky was always an interesting event to enjoy with a group of people as well. Of course there was competition for NM's such as farming Despot and the like. I miss going to the temple or Ifrit's Cauldron, or floating on the barge in Carpenter's Landing. Trial of the magians took me to many places I had not been in that game for years. They added some things like field's of valor and treasure caskets that always made things interesting too. I would like an option to take the ferry or airship in this game, not just a taking off/landing cutscene.
I do not have any interest in the tome farming and such that is end game for FFXIV.

Well the reason I support the addition of the open world dungeons was because I remember the feeling in 1.0 of suddenly stumbling upon a big open hole in the ground and feeling of fear and excitement of if i should go down it or not. The solution could very well be to make it another zone, yes its not entirely open world but it would still incorporate the mystery that i loved in 1.0.
So if the open world dungeon bosses are meant for 1-4 people, what happens when 100 people are doing the same boss on top of each other? and really it seems if the content is only for 4 players, why not just make an instanced outside dungeon.
I just don't see any benefits from including those areas. Just a fate boss with a longer run to.


Im thinking there should be Open dungeon NM's (1.0 NM's) as well as Hunts That when Successfully hunting them down, They Spawn Bound to duty to your party so no one else can attack it.So if the open world dungeon bosses are meant for 1-4 people, what happens when 100 people are doing the same boss on top of each other? and really it seems if the content is only for 4 players, why not just make an instanced outside dungeon.

Open world dungeon is fine. And get rid of the maps. The scariest thing for me in FFXI was trying to navigate Eldieme Necropolis by myself without a map. Even dual screening to navigate was not easy.
