    Happening to me with alarming frequency, but it only seems to happen in towns (which, to be fair, LOTS of buggy things have happened to me in towns, like running into invisible walls, getting stuck, FALLING THROUGH THE FLOOR, etc., not to mention generally atrocious lag involving having to wait around for like a full minute for NPCs to load). This is getting redonkulous. It's happened three times to me already today just trying to get out of Limsa Lominsa, but I have yet to make it from one end of the map to the other without a crash.

    [edit] After some more playing and somewhat deliberately trying to get the crash to occur, I've come to the conclusion that while it seems possible to occur at any time, it almost always occurs in high congestion areas - that is, locations with lots of other players in them. Naturally, towns are the prime suspects for such places. But I'm actually able to play pretty consistently throughout most of late night/early morning (that is, roughly 4AM-9AM EST) without any major problems, even in towns.

    I think what would really help save this game is either A) adding channels to help deal with the congestion (and quite frankly, you could cut down the number of worlds to about half and implement a channel system and achieve roughly the same thing while allowing more players to play together), or B) implementing a kind of "reverse stealth" mode, where you can choose to play in a muted fashion, essentially turning off all other player characters on the client side to help deal with the lag in high-congestion areas.
