i miss alot from 1.x, but there is one thing i miss especially, which made me love FFXI/FFXIV so much more than most MMOs.
the camera during fights.

the way the camera was set up to be behind your character rather than above it and zoomed out far made it feel like i'm actually fighting and not just playing chess


but now with all those flashy effects and aoe circles everywhere we end up with


this sure had a big impact on me, as i loved 1.0's combat, even with all its problems
