Do people seriously think BRD is not OP as it stands? A class that can avoid the majority of mechanics without a single bit of loss in DPS?
They are in-need of cast time/channelled abilities.

We lose 20% of our power while a song is on. Meaning our DPS drops LOWER than the other classes in most endgame content.
See thats the kicker. Alot of people here are defending BRD as the worst DD class based on spreadsheet dps from stand still fights or even wooden dummies. Sure, MNKs will get some pretty nice damage when they're not running everywhere and avoiding as much as possible. But a majority of fights are based around mobility atm, so in practical damage output BRD is really up there.

I just really hope they arent bold enough to give us just a direct damage decrease to all of our abilities. I mean, im staying positive and hoping maybe they just add some more mechanics that keep the class doing what it is doing, just a little bit more to think about and more of a challenge to play, but still just as rewarding. Even removing the shooting while moving would sound reasonable to me. Relax guys, remain positive. MMO changes keep the game exciting. Even the nerfs lol. Bards will still always have their place especially because of their utility. SE wont make them useless, and if they do, they will fix it.
You do realise that's why EVERY raid group takes at least 1 BRD right, for your songs? So that's not a negative point at all.
Main problem is, that unlike the other Ranged classes who can avoid a lot of mechanics as is simply due to the fact they are ranged are penalised when moving. BRDs have no penalty for moving, meaning they can avoid the majority of mechanics with ease and keep 100% uptime on their DPS.

Its not the damage that makes them so desired, its them being able to keep their peak damage and have 100% mobility. I personally don't think they'll touch the actual damage output, but just change something that'll impact mobility.I just really hope they arent bold enough to give us just a direct damage decrease to all of our abilities. This was stated. I'm not sure were people are getting "nerfs confirmed".

"We currently feel that the bards are a little too strong due to the amount of damage they can do without being impacted that much from the fight."
