It would have been better if , We get to unlock a duty finder and fight a giant pumpkin. With a theme rewards chances on random event only drops and You get trick or treat points to buy stuff related to the event.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

The poster is nice and the lore is very interesting, so that's an improvement from the last Halloween event and the awful Summer event.
If only we had a real Bard or some kind of entertainer class/job like the poster shows.

Still hoping we do at some point.
I remember a thread a while back describing how there could be a sort of entertainer class that led into Dancer as it's job, which would be fun.
Also, I want that zombie skin (T_T);
A few months after launch. Which unfortunately was too late for them to keep some players who started to hate the whole game (Me, my guild and friends).
As you can tell I'm new to FFXIV but I was pleasantly surprised to see them having a Halloween event, rehashed from 1.0 or not. I wasn't expecting them to do anything at all considering ARR only just released.
I'm happy it is something to be honest rather than just it being a mindless F.A.T.E. Now if they can combine the two with the story and rewards as well as the opportunity to obtain currency for items I'll be happy. That said, I'm pleased that we are getting events considering everything else they had to do.
diablo 3 took 13 years to make, FF14 took 2 years to remake
Clearly ff14 is doing a job 10 times better, at least...
Give them more time to sort server, bugs out, and more time for the newer player base to catch up, then they can experience higher end seasonable events. Such as a seasonable raid for example...
Yoshi talked about the summer event (and swimsuits) in a letter before the game was even released! As far as the Moonfire Faire was concerned, I think the problem was it was rushed to satisfy player requests for the swimwear who missed out on the original ones in 1.0 - after all the usual timing of the event was technically too late for the launch of the game, so I presume SE were originally not going to bother with it this year, that is until players requested it.
So i'm not that sure that it was from any request from players..
He also said we would have amazing seasonable events.. o.O
This 2 events are boring as hell, and i feel like this 2nd one is worse then the fate from summer.
Meanwhile, they are wasting there time on a publicity fate for Lighting's new game.
I love this game, but I have to be honest this was a little underwhelming. Now, I loved the quest, I thought it was cool. However, I did it literally in 20 mins. So for me now, Halloween event is over with. Hardly an 'event' at any measure.
An event should give you something alternative to do that is fun and unique, with the promise of reward (like minions, clothing, mounts whatever). Instead we get a nice nugget of lore and a quick fancy with rehashed clothing. Whereas it could of been a proper seasonal event, with games and trick and treating with unlockable costumes. Heck I wanted the woman ring leaders costume
I can only hope that future events get fleshed out a little more, although still disappointed as Halloween is my favorite seasonal![]()
