Overstocked inventory

So there is no way to store inventory yet? i guess the chest in the inn Room wont store inventory items. Also i was unsure hot to stack items, i see some of the same thing in say a count of 2 and a count of 11, how can i combine them? thanks, and is there any way to organize our inventory automatically? llike a button to push that will put all of the materials on one page and food on another etc?

If two items are alike but don't stack, it may be because one is HQ and the other not

Also, SE is planning to add a sort button for the inventory or something like that in a future patch or maybe 2.1

Your retainers have a whole lot of storage space.

To combine stacks, drag one onto the other one. If they're on separate inventory pages, pick one up, switch to the page with the other inventory stack (click the # for keyboard/mouse, R1/L1 for controller), and drop it from there.

There's no auto-sort yet. Supposedly coming in 2.1.

The chest is for special armors like AF and special event items like the bathing suits.

Something I recommend is to take a look at what recipe the item is used in, and try to sell it in increments of how much is needed. For example, mythril ore is used to make mythril ingots. It takes 3 ore to make one ingot, so sell them in quantities of 3, 6, 9, 12, etc. Of course there's other examples like copper ore, which needs 3 for a copper ingot and 2 for a bronze ingot. In this case, you'd either want to sell in increments of 6, or sell in quantities of both 3 and 2.

There have been plenty of times where I've paid a higher price, just because I didn't want to deal with having a bunch of leftover junk. Which brings me to another point: Some folks look to buy in bulk since they want to mass produce something, and others want just a few for a synth or two. This is where it helps to know the item you're selling. If it's used to make something in high demand or a LOT of items (the core ingredients of ores, logs, textiles, and skins qualify here), chances are most customers are looking to buy in bulk. If not, then chances are you're selling to a niche crowd looking to make as few as one for their own personal use, so sell in small increments.

I have made several retainers - my first two were named Battlebox and Tradestuff
battlebox holds all my gear for classes not currently lving or gear im not using yet but will
Tradestuff holds all my crafting materials

its getting to the point where im going to make more that further organizes what I need- like a retainer just for HQ items? lol
I'd really like them to implement the ability to craft by directly using items in your retainer without pulling them out ( like EQ2 had in guild halls haha )

I use my husband's account - an alt char so I can easily xfer back and forth ( im on ps3 and hes on PC ) haha

Every time i have asked a Retainer Arranger they have laughed at me and said i was too weak. Maybe that is because i havent asked in my "home" city Urdah yet, maybe i will be able to get one there.... since i am up to level 32 now. I hope so, gonna run out of room in my inventoyr soon...esp since i started gatheirng as a miner. Great thread lots of good info here.
