    CopperBell Questions

As i understand it the final boss in Copperbell does have an AOE attack but it does not show a ground red circle or shape....so how do you know when it is coming? some say there is a cast bar indication but i was not sure what that mean....it said on the target so i am guessing it would be on me as the Tank?

I guess some of the other foes in there have a jitter attack that does not have an AOE warning either, not sure how you know about that either. Just trying to do research ...to prepare..

also the blob monsters when they divide and you have to use the bomb machine on them, do you have ALL of them in the bomb radius for them to divide? i was not sure how easy it is to keep them in a herd when there are 8 of them. thanks for any tips.

What they meant is, If you target the monster and their HP bar pops up, there will always appear a small loading bar, under the HP bar of the boss, as they cast/ready any skill. It appears on both visible and non visible attacks.

While I can't answer any of your questions in particular, I can give a tip for the last boss:

Simply focus him down, and ignore the adds. Even a poorly geared group can kill him before the adds manage to break the wall, and the fight will be significantly faster as a result.

The last boss basically comes down to the tank sticking with the boss, and the DDs immediately taking out any adds that burst through the first wall, as if they break down the second one, you'll be swamped and wipe before you even know what's happening. As long as you can keep the flunkies from breaking the second wall, you'll be fine.

As for the flan, you really need to keep it's parts close to the bomb in order to do damage to them/split them, as they're utterly invincible otherwise (well until they've been blown down into 8 separate parts ).

As was mentioned above, if you just focus on the boss and ignore the adds, he will die long before they ever manage to break the second wall, even with subpar dps.

If you've got an ACN in the pt, tell them to just [Sic] carby on the adds as they pop up, should need little more than that, iirc, while the rest of the group burns down the final boss.

As for the slime boss, no the parts don't have to all be in blast radius at once, it's just easier that way. You could just spam [Flash] on them to keep them gathered, just get out of the blast radius before the bomb goes off or you'll die...

That's true. Still though, I like to think of the boss fight for this dungeon as a sort of training for higher level dungeons. It may be easier to just gang up on and overwhelm the boss, but doing it the harder way helps teach new players how to switch up their strategy quickly and coordinate their attacks better. I believe challenge breeds excellence.

For the slime boss, you will have to group them up around the bombs. Blobs not in the bombs will not split, prolonging the fight. I wouldn't worry about damage though as the attack power seems to be divided amongst the blobs. Smaller pieces deal significantly less damage than the big slime at the beginning. If are having trouble surviving all the hits as a gladiator, you might consider gathering the mobs so they're attacking you from the front. This will let you capitalize on the block stat from your shield. Otherwise, get lvl15 gear for you and your healer. You should not have any problems after that.

there's two tricks to the final boss. The first is to go all out on dps with the boss and ignore the adds. In this strategy, your conjurer/arcanist is encouraged to contribute by activating cleric stance or using emerald carbuncle. Overall, this strategy is fine if you have a healer not prone to panic and capable of healing/dpsing on the run or a thaum who can sleep enemies if your group does panic at the 1-3 mobs that might break through.

The other trick is to tank the boss next to the second opening. Since the adds don't initially aggro on anyone, the dps can safely attack them. By having the boss near where the adds are, you allow for your casters to utilize their aoe and your melee dps to quickly kill the adds and then attack the boss. This is the more technical (and i believe intended) of the solutions.

wow great everyone thanks so much. partly the reason i needed to plan carefullly is that I am playing on a Japanese world and from past experience i Dungeons so far, sometimes the Duty finder given team wont talk to me much if at all. Last time i just had to do my best and hope they would know what to do. So discussing plans and coordinating tactics may not be possible, and I needed to know what to do in as much detail as i could. All of this is really helpful very much indeed. I am way over geared with level 30 stuff now so that wont be a problem, and I will just hope the Healer I get will know their stuff too. thanks again.Anova, that second option sounds really good, and I dounderstand all you suggest, it makes a lot of sense ...that fact that the Adds dont aggro is a big help..and even tho i will tank hard on teh boss no matter what, it will be very interesting to see if your strategy works as well as i think it will. thanks again everyone. I will do the Dungeon tomorrow, i feel a lot better about it now. Really appreciate how generous everyone is, and I am learning a lot in the process.

The blob boss is super easy. Just flash each time it splits and tell the DPS ahead of time not to attack them. Each time the healer needs to heal you, flash. You should never lose hate. Also, you can keep them pretty much right where the bomb spawns.
