I'm here because i want to play a good game, not because I want to get to climax on a wave of my final fantasy nostalgia. I mean seriously?

because SE are not good at MMO's XD I will get hated for that but its just been proven over and over and over. Not to mention they probably dont get a lot of resources.

How was FFXI not a success? Still running hard after nine years on the market and SE is STILL consistently banking off of it. Granted it has had to be casualized late in the game to cope with the modern day baby gamers - but it's still a complete success.

To the comment about Rift having VO's? Maybe Trion should have spent less time and money on VO production and more on a decent MMO. At least SE is spending the investment/time into rebuilding their failure from the ground up instead of spending it on retarded ideas.

Isn't that Star Wars MMO going to be fully voiced? Obviously it can be done.

Personally, I'm not that fussed, but every cutscene should have voice-overs. As it is now, only about four (I think) of them do, which is a bit unimpressive.

Yea but if we're talking sheer data the Star Wars game has nothing on the graphics of FFXIV alone. Sure it can be done, anything can be done, but things have to be limited to comply by today's standards. FFXIV is hardly getting away with the computer power it needs to run, whereas Star Wars MMO from what footage we've seen so far already looks outdated and ugly.

Well the reason I mentioned it is because someone said it would cost an outrageous amount of money and resources to do. I'm merely pointing out that it's not impossible. If it's reasonable to expect this in a game like FFXIV however, I'm not too sure about. I do believe this will be the norm in the future, though.

I remember back when they said that every dialogue in the game would be voiced. I know it was a translation error, but the little amount we ended up with is not very impressive. I have a feeling they intended to voice all the main storyline missions, but ended up cutting yet another corner due to lack of time.

.....if rift could have voice overs on npcs etc and make a truely dynamic world with 10x's more content than this why couldnt se? alot of mmos have plenty of voice overs......sounds like se is a cheap copout on that stuff right now
