If someone can actually avoid an AE by moving out of the red circle when it's say 0.1s from done, then this means this person also must NOT be able to move without interrupting their spell with 0.1s or more left to cast since both mechanisms function due to the same design principle. So is there anyone who can actually interrupt their own spell the moment they move? Even a cursory look at how people sort of glide across your screen should convince you that the world you're looking isn't actually up to date, and if you screen doesn't reflect the true world, it should never be possible to get out of an AE with 0.1s to spare, simply because the information on your screen is wrong.

Sorry about the quality, I'm not much of a youtuber.

I have a ping of 80-100 and my FPS is left unlimited.

Not really sure if this helps, but this is my experience of Titan.

Edit: Yea I cant move and cast, also interacting with objects is incredible twitchy. I have to stop and interact.

Thank you for posting that. At least I know some people actually don't get the lag at all now. Unfortunately that still isn't the case for many of us. Sometimes I think I do get lucky, and I don't get hit when I move out of things "late" (late meaning at the end of the cast bar). My theory on what happens these times is I got lucky with when the client was updating my position.

It's worth throwing out there that on Speedtest I consistently get 60+ MB/sec download speed (pay for 90, but meh), and about 5 MB/sec upload. My computer is hooked up via ethernet cable, and I've never had this issue in any other game when my internet was -much- slower (talking 5 MB).

I've raided/done end game dungeons in WoW, Rift, Tera, and TSW. This has never once been an issue for me.

Don't get me wrong, I adore the game otherwise. I really want it to succeed. I just don't see that happening in the long run if this issue isn't fixed, and the fights continue to be twitch dodgey type things.

So I found this post in another thread:

How should I interpret this relatively to the issue at hand in this thread? Does it mean the "300ms check" isn't confirmed as an actual issue? It certainly isn't a "bug", since it's technically a design choice; but with the lack of response from SE, I'm now not even sure they're considering this issue as game-breaking, nor even as a serious one.

Really, some kind of clarification on this "design choice" would be appreciated. If it's built in your online engine SE, and there's just no way you can change that, please tell us — so that those of us who value a fast and responsive online experience can move to another MMORPG who has a chance of providing such a service.

People will get tired of waiting, and your lack of honesty on this topic isn't helping their staying anyway. At least be frank and blunt about this issue, so that players can make a choice for themselves based on honest information about this game's design, and likely (or unlikely) future improvements regarding the network implementation.

I agree. Apparently SE does not.

I just want a damn answer on whether the 300ms position check will be fixed or if it is WAI and is going to stay as is.

I would like to know so I can a move on and stop wasting my time posting here and put a big X on SE or if I should keep checking in so when they do get around to fixing this I can sub to the game.

Mr Yoshi needs to stop patting himself on the back for that promotion and put his "big boy" pants on and answer us already.

i think them changing it from 500 to 300 shows that they know whats going on and are working towards fixing it, would be nice to have an update on this though, should be their top priority after server stability, exploiters etc etc

Thanks for posting that video, it helps to see it from someone who is not having the problems. Could you make another video please, I want to see what happens with autofollow.

    1. Get someone/friend to target you and /follow
    2. Start Fraps and swing your camera view around so you can see them
    3. Now start running forward
    4. After about five seconds stop and wait for them to catch up to you and stop
    5. Stop Fraps

If we can get videos of this from people who are not having problems dodging AoE's then maybe we can see a difference in /follow - which uses the positional updates.

    Thanks.

    I'll do this tonight.

It might help resolve the issue if people with lag problems can post more info...ping speed, packet loss, wired or wireless, hardware specs, isp speeds etc. I can see from some of the videos it is happening but I believe there is a vast majority of people not realising cast bar and animation are not synced (which is ridiculous).

Oh and btw I don't use ping zapper or any vpn thingy. Just hard wired next to the master socket, no wifi.
